Did the doctors specifically point out that he had heart damage or are we all just speculating that because someone had a heart attack after taking preworkout, this is definitely because of preworkout abuse and we should all stop taking these?
What did the doctors say about the cause of his heart attack?
Inb4...
20+% bf dreamerbulk nocardio time
cholesterol levels through the roof
cardiovascular disease
genetics/heart defect
rec drugs & prescription meds (********, viagra etc)
all of those things are much more likely suspects than preworkout
but it's much easier to ban preworkout so average american fatcutns can be confident their gym supps aren't going to increase their risk of heart attack even though their chitty sedentary lifestyle, overprescription of medication, and high calorie diet puts them 100x more at risk.
lifting itself is a high risk activity, it's very easy to hurt yourself by working out. not everything in life is safe and risk free whether that's stepping into a gym or walking down the street.
best wishes for your frd though (srs)Last edited by sawang; 08-03-2014 at 11:44 PM.

Damn, but yeah taking pre WO and energy drinks are not the best idea, that said Im guessing there's a good chance his heart already wasnt 100%. Ive known guys that abused the fcuk out of Pre WO and are still fine.
Ive personally really cut back though, now for pre workout I just take creatine and 200mg of caffeine▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

welp he was around 18% BF, he abused the shiat out of preworkouts, i am fairly sure he slammed a redbull or two with each PWO, maybe even mixed PWO in redbull. no drug use aside from prescription pain killers after we hit the IED. he ate fairly healthy, had test at age 18 and then again at 22 which came back clean. the doctors said his cholesterol level and what not were within specs, and said his heart was litterally overworked. he now has a 20-30lb lifting restriction after his release. but is advised to steer clear of any and all types of lifting.

i wouldnt call him an idiot, me and him have had our fair share of issues since returning home from active duty. i think it was more of a saving grace for him. something that made him feel better about himself. he got pretty messed up with burns and what not. i went through a similar phase. i hope the best for him though since he is still facing his demons....

from what i gathered from the doctor cardio and what not may help a little, but he explained a lot of it has to do with how you your body processes and and how you will react to it. that some people react strongly to minimal stims, and others react none to high stims. i do remember if i took to many stims my nose would bleed and i would get a migraine.
and poking fun is enjoyable as long as people know its all for laughs, i think some people here take it a little to far, and even i am guilty of that as well.
