You can get a used c6 or c5z06 for the price of a gen coupe or brz/frs. I have a c6zo6 and it completely spanks my brother's gen coupe in just about every aspect.
Only in a straight line. Hell it barely outruns the 3.5 v6 accord and Camrys, and I mean just barely. The handling dynamics of the car feel deadened and somewhat unresponsive. If Hyundai could focus more on that then it would be a pretty legit car tho.
I guess it just depends on where you live and under what conditions you drive your car though.wait wut

It's still a 180 degree motor. It's the perfect basis for a race car, and it's still marketable to the street.
That mustang will have bolt-ons. The Subaru or Scion would destroy it if they were in the same class.
The Mustang's handling isn't balanced with 50/50 weight.🤡 Honk-Pilled 🤡

OP, they are literally the same exact car with different badges, different body accents, and slightly different interior.
Everything mechanical is identical.

Subaru and Toyota designed the cars as a team.
Both agree on who handled what tasks once development got under way. Subaru did the engineering and development of the chassis and powertrain, and Toyota handled the design. Subarus fingerprints are everywheremost obviously on the 2.0-liter flat-four, code-named FA. In case the layout isnt enough of a giveaway, theres a Subaru label on the intake manifold. Toyotas contribution underhood is its D-4S combination port- and direct-fuel-injection system. More Subaru markers are hidden away beneath the car, on the inside of the fenders, and on the muffler.🤡 Honk-Pilled 🤡

To be fair, the STi could be pretty close if you put the differential to 90% rear / 10% front, and add a brake bias controller to match the front brakes evenly to the front weight distribution/make sure they wear the same as the rear brakes. Also, put a lighter hood on it and a HUGE adjustable rear wing. Move the battery to the passenger side in the trunk. That would be the most effective way to modify the STi.

Those tires are not prius tires, that's absolute bullchit, no they're not super sticky performance tires but they're also not crappy "prius tires" they're only available on the "performance" prius exclusive to japan.
Those same tires are used on quite a few luxury cars such as the audi a3 a6, lexus gs 430, bmw x1, mercedes e class etc. etc.

I don't drive a subayota and I do think it's a bit underpowered, but other than that it's a nice car. I was just correcting your incorrect statement because that whole "prius tire" thing is so stupid, all you've managed to do is make yourself look ignorant.
lol @ everyone in this thread "arguing" with a bunch of emotional bullchit like women and completely ignoring almost all facts on both sides

oh, ok
5. It Uses Prius Tires
Yes, we didn't believe it either, but the FR-S uses the same 215/45-R17 Michelin Primacy rubber that's optional on the Prius. In our first drive of the Toyota 86 we reported that the tires were the same size as those from the Prius option package, but we didn't think it possible that the much-hyped Toyota sports car would use the exact rubber as found on the efficiency-focused Prius.
Well, it does.

US model prius with the performance pack come with Michelin Pilot HX MXM4
again those tires are only available as an option on the prius in Japan, they're far from prius tires, would you say an a6 is rolling on prius tires?
Bad automotive journalism from edmunds doesn't make you correct.
Since you're into answering questions though I do have one for you... what do you drive? A white mustang? Cool, one of my cars is a mustang too, what do you run in the quarter?

I've driven both the frs and brz, just test drives though; I think they're a bit over hyped by automotive journalists but they're pretty good cars, one thing it does well that really stood out to me is the driving position; I fit in that car like a glove, the steering wheel, shifter, pedals all feel like they're right where they are supposed to be. The throttle is also incredibly responsive.
Is it fast? No
Is it a fun daily driver? Yes
Is it the second coming of the messiah? No
Does it have enough power for driving around on the road? Yes

GT86 > BRZ > FR S
Aesthetics-wise to me personally, they are the same car (99.99%)
Also to the genesis guy, every reviewing source I've ever read put the BRZ above the genesis regardless of the difference in numbers.
So many people forget this car is NOT about drag racing, it's about cruising and having fun and being a drivers car.
I will agree the lack of HP sucks, but it's not the end of the world. Also:
Clarkson knows what's up.

I wouldn't track my daily so having a 200 hp toyota isnt for me brb trying to merge with 150 tq no thanks. If I did track it and had to dump money into it to get the brakes up to spec and build some power I would just buy a corvette for the same price. Useless car IMO
