I am doing this to shock the body, but I will still utilize some higher rep work 8-10 for the iso's, but I need to see how I adapt to this program, it does not hurt to change, After doing the low rep thing for a while 2-3 months at least, I may go into some GVT to then again make my body say "Wtf"
I will let you know when I will be in Pitt, remember I am only 45 minutes away from you where I go to college at IUP, If i have free time over a weekend, I will shoot you a PM, and we will get together at the Peterson Event Center, you just have to get me an ID card to get in.
Thanks for popping in. I know how hectic your schedule is, coming back from the break after i go on vacation to see one of your "Boys" who seems to not post on here very often anymore. There will be a slight macro bump that is stated below.
Read above
Update
Off today, going to work at like 8 for most of the day, coming home, packing, and leaving very early tomorrow for vacation...
Macros will be bumped as I start my BioForge Log on Monday/Tuesday whenever I return
* These Macros were given to me by the guy who gave me the supplement and told me to run these #'s as a minimum for the product, Since weight has been 160.4 for a while, and i will have a Bodybugg when I return, we will get the real deal on calorie expenditure.
Pro - 250
Carbs - 400 -->> 425 for a bump
Fat - 100 or --->> 110
Cals -- 3500 -->> 3600
* I will make a small bump upon returning from vacation, These will be the baseline #'s as I have been 160.4 for a little bit now..
* Other than that, looking to just relax, enjoy some good eats, and get my mind off everything before coming back home and heading to school on the 26th

Vacation will be needed before school owns me.
Youll see if it does or doesnt. I am getting it for free from indianforeigner, and i will give it back to him after 2-3 months or so of using it. I am just using it because i have the opportunity. It will be cool to know how many cals i burn on different days.. workout, non-workout, workout + workout, double shiftin days. so i can adjust kcals accordingly and give me a gerneal basis of cals ill need for cutting/bulking purposes.
Ill give you a Quick hint, he used to post in multiple journals on here, but he has gone away from the forums for a bit, he posts maybe once a month.

if you are going to use the bugg, you better start tracking cals again so you get the most out of it. the bugg is about +/- 10% error too so see how it works for you.

Keen to see the bugg results and seriously bob, unless you're aiming for a thousand pounds, you couldn't have just typed three simple numbers to my response?
I don't have endless amount of time to read everything in everybodies journals. Sorry if that offends you that I didn't know your goals.Fitness Journal:

Thanks broseph.
Both needed for both of us. Keep in touch via texting Bryce.
Ive always tracked for the most part, mostly the only things i weigh are things hard to eyeball like oats and protein sources. I just removed my fitday because its boring to read everyday, and I doubt many people even look at it.
Weight is not an issue, Strength gains is more of a priority, the weight will come with time.

At least its good for something.
You know my goals as well as anyone on here because we see each other on a weekly basis, You know I have to fill out my frame if I ever have a chance of stepping on stage and placing in a competition.
Your show in Pittsburgh was an eye opener to what I would have to go up against as the best of the best around here. You wonder why I keep emphasizing to you that I need to progressively add weight to the bar. I have a lot of work to do if I ever want to be someone who can become a "Contender"
I have to say, my legs are just starting to relieve the soreness after that workout from Monday. I am definitely going for round 2, but this time lets hope the hack squat is ready to go.

bob you have been doing powerlifting type stuff all your life with football and stuff.. your strength is there.. I am just giving my opinion but ask yourself... do you wanna bench 500lbs or look like you can bench 500lbs? Powerlifting movements and reps have their place.. but I would never solely focus of strength only if you are trying to be a bodybuilder
Once I got away from all the pure strength lifting i really saw my physique change
Hey powerlifters, I trained like a bodybuilder last year and well :
did it for 3 on 4 hours of sleep and jet lag
you can still be a bodybuilder and still be strongMET-Rx/Pure Protein Board Rep

I have time, and I am aiming for 2011 as a time to step on stage, we will see how i shape up then given consistent dedication and hard work.
Powerliftin for football, and then when i went to college its mostly been hypertrophy/endurance type training, until i joined team scivation and then worked with Tommy. After high school i mostly did high volume and high reps for over 2 years when i lost over 100+lbs, then doing the power/hyper i was mostly keeping reps in the 8-15 rep range and barley dipping into some power #'s except for maybe one exercise if that.
I think this will be a shock, yeah i know that on stage it doesnt matter who can lift the most but who looks like they can move the most. But as far as transformation and body physique goes. it doesnt look like i can rarely move jack, and I surly do not have a body that backs it up... genetics are not on my side, but a shock to the body doesnt hurt, there is always time for change, i am still finding what is optimal and works best for me given that i have a consistent diet along side of me.'
I never said everything will be power power power, isotlations will still have different rep schemes, its just taking a more general approach to a basic split, and utilizing the power exercises and sticking to the basics.

I don't think he was saying he was doing PURE strength training. Don't kid yourself that strength is VERY important in building muscle. The biggest natural bodybuilders are ALSO the strongest (for the most part) and it isn't a coincidence.
Even the biggest untested bodybuilders are usually the strongest.
And when you stopped doing "pure strength lifting" and started seeing your physique change did you also change your "supplementation"...http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=111082701

4-8 reps is mainly strength training imo
you can still be strong and train more of a bodybuilding type rep range.
Christ when I was a natural teen I was outlifting a nat level competitor at my gym and 90% of guys bigger than me i knew... They pretty much told me I was a jack ass for trying to lift so heavy all the time.. I seriously thought they were just jealous, then I trained like a bodybuilder and saw my physique change when I WAS NATURAL TOO. My strength still went up(not as high as before but still went up) and my physique completely changed. I realized all this powerlifting type training was mainly just working my core/joints/fast twitch muscle fibers
I am going by what guys who are 5'7 over 200lbs with shredded glutes on stage tell me .
I have talked with countless top npc bodybuilders and it seems to almost all be the same theme with the training style..
Bob knows the one guy at our gym.. Jack.. He looks insane and is 5 weeks out right now.. hes one of the people who have gotten me away from the trying to go all out as heavy as i can powerlifting type stuff. He has a degree in exercise physiology and looks insane. It took my ego a long time to realize he was completely right.Last edited by MattyH7688; 08-05-2009 at 07:12 PM.
