are you cutting? i wouldn't be able to run very long distances i don't think. plus i got mild asthma. i got quite good at skipping. and did some sprinting.

I still hit the weights but more high volume and lower weight. Far from strength training I did not to long ago. I tried to do both when I first got into running and biking but it was one injury after another. At first the running sucks out loud then if you keep at it and do it smart it starts to come together. I've done 3 half marathons and stepping up to the full. I need to get to the local HS track and do some sprinting/intervals for speed work

If you can fit it in your house, then that's great. You will save so much time. Make sure you have the motivation to work out on your own though. By that, I mean some people need to be at the gym to be able to get a good workout.

i feel the same in a way man just +10 years to that.. just dont end up like me. my lifes just a pile of chit. i have degree's and diploma's but no drive to even make a portfolio. but i do believe im good at it. ive done good work. i get depressed when i see how years fly. like when i see a date written or something. and im like phuck. maybe when i get back i have to think bout doing little things.

yeah, i definitely don't want to be unmotivated for the rest of my life and have plenty of regrets. i know that i either want to become an investment banker or a surgeon, and so far i'm on the right track, but i could somehow start my own business and have it become very popular and get tons of sales, etc. then that would be more ideal because i get to be my own boss.

i really like technology, especially consumer electronics. however, i can't code and don't have too much knowledge of the more technical aspects of electronics. i'm not interested in doing computer science in college though. i'm also very interested in medicine and anatomy, and also business, finance, and entrepreneurship. also, i have absolutely ZERO artistic skill. i can't even draw stick figures too well (srs)

For some lucky ones, they know what they want to do and go for it. For the rest of us, we have no clue until much later in life. You are accepted to a great school, you are a very capable person. Perhaps spend your first year in college with lots of different electives classes that spark an interest in you. That will also give you time to decide and time to test out other opportunities outside of school. Whatever it is, don't let your talent go to waste.

I had a friend from high school. Very smart guy, he was very closed to being valedictorian for my high school. GPA of over 4 point something, I don't remember. I remember taking a computer science class with him, and the bastard aced it like nothing. We all thought he was going to be somebody some day. I meet up with him again during my 2nd year of college, and he was on the verge of dropping out. Turns out talent without motivation doesn't get you far in life. He was pushed by his parents to do well in high school. They planned out his life for him throughout high school, he never had to figure anything for himself other than getting A's in all his classes. When he venture out to college on his own, he was clueless. Book smart, but no street smart and no clue on what to do with his life. Anyway, focus on finding something you enjoy and make sure you make money out of it too. It's better to be miserable with money than without. It's a tough balancing act some times, you don't want to be working and hating your life either (I have done it and hated it).

great advice brah. the thing is, unlike your friend, i was not pushed by my parents to do well or anything because i was genuinely interested in learning and having good grades. i know that i want to either become an investment banker or a surgeon, and i'm on track for those careers (majoring in business and doing pre-med) but like i've said before, being the head of a large business would be more ideal for me. i definitely enjoy business and medicine, but it would be nice to be the CEO of my own startup and get good money while having more control over my work hours, etc. i just need to keep thinking of a good business idea, because once i have an original, plausible business idea, i can definitely capitalize on that

its great that at 17 you have such a mature concern and drive to do well in life (at least professionally), but imo you're over thinking things, you should tackle one thing at a time, what's next? uni? check, what's next? pass this semester with As? check, next semester? check, and so on, small steps take you a long way as long as you have your eyes fixed in the goal, but don't over think things, be analytical but not meticulously cautious about everything, not healthy.

its worth it in the end because if i phuck up in these assessments then its game over

if you're really interested in photography and becoming a cameraman, take photography classes at a nearby university in your spare time, and invest in a good camera. then, try and find a job or internship with a photography company or something.

welcome new members. got some jeans and shoes today. its hard getting into jeans when you actually train legs. i bought flat shoes so that i can lift in them as well as casually. they were like $70. there was more ideal lifting shoes but i dun give a phuck.
