I'm leaning towards wrapping this log, adjusting lifting routine, and hitting the bike time hard.
More importantly taking an online break; probably take a week or 2 break from here.
Should have the plan worked out in a few days.

Well I can see that. Long travel bike and matching kit would look pretty pimp at the trailhead. Maybe not so macho to push that **** up every hill.

As bad as I'd been feeling about training, I had a great workout.
Skipped cardio, worked up to 305lbs (once) for incline bench, and the same for flat bench. (Ric Flair voice) Whhhooooooo!!!

Flat DB bench, higher reps, awesome pump.
DB shoulder press, slowly worked up to 75s for 8.
Wrapped with light DB flyes.

Took forever but MAN! I feel good right now.


Forecast:
Still planning to rework the weightlifting routine and prioritize biking. Will probably take a week deload and at least that long away from here.

Fawk ya on the inclines and flats man, they heaviest Ive ever gone on incline was 1 rep of 315 and Ive only done that a handful of times. These days I never see over 275.

Honesty I have no business chasing 1RMs. I've got nothing to prove and my shoulders are fragile enough I should really just stick to about 80-90% of that max. One of these days I'll check my ego and lift smart.

I hear ya though, I finally checked the ego at the door over the past few months and have made some of the best progress in a while. I ain't no spring chicken either, so gotta be a little bit smarter with my lifting

Have you considered elliptical? I tried it recently instead of bike and it was... interesting but doable.

I will be taking about 2 weeks off here, back early May for the ErgoSuperStack log. My motivation will be better then, I promise.
