Two of my least favourite training sessions today, just done a 3.4 km swim with a main set of 25x 100 and 6x 25 meters bands (otherwise known as drowning with your legs tied together) then got a high candence turbo session this evening. I really struggle mentally with indoor training, weight lifting aside.

Computrainer class wasn't to bad last night. Did some warmup then 1 minute intervals then 3x6 minute tapers. The last set of tapers hurt pretty good. Trying to stay in shape this winter and not go into hibernation.

when you first started, was it easy to get into?
i'd like to race next summer/fall to get a feel for it, and maybe if i like it, take it seriously
any cycling specific resistance training you do or just regular strength program
-
11-16-2012, 02:15 PM #4344
Yeah it was pretty easy. All you need to do is purchase a racing license from USAC.
I don't really do any specific lifting for cycling. However, I stop lifting in January so I really only lift in the off-season. I don't lift to gain size like most people here do, I do it for strength mostly, and to keep some shred of aesthetics with the little muscle I have.positive crew

Looks like a re-branded Fuji Track. Solid buy for the price. I would avoid the Commencal Meta tho they (Commencal sussers) are prone to cracking in the rear swing arm (2012 and before any way) I was looking into buying the Commencal Supreme DH WC and was warned off severely by a pro friend who has broken a few. Prob going to go with a 2013 Nukeproof Pulse instead.
