3 days out
Weight - 204.3 lbs
Today's Plan:
Chest/delts/triceps, posing and 25 mins MISS
230 P, 300 C, 45 F
Water - 2 gallons
Sodium - 4500 mg
Weight has come back down a bit and expect it will continue to do so through end of week, though I expect it unlikely to see another low on the scale at this point. We will see.
Yesterday was the hardest/fullest/most vascular I have been all prep. Will continue to get harder looking as we taper back the carbs, water and sodium.
I got a belated birthday gift in the mail yesterday (The Breaking Bad complete box set on blu-ray). Just in time for the end of peak week where workouts start to get cut back and lots of sitting around and mental preparedness happens. I have off work Thurs and Fri which makes life pretty much a breeze.
Will update again after today's workout.

Pictures look pretty good Stan. All things considered you did a remarkable job in such a short period of time. Look forward to seeing how you do this weekend.

Thanks guys. Looking back through my old pics I am much bigger than my last go around. Something can be said for training heavy and with lots of volume in the off season.
While initially I had hoped to be leaner than I have ended up, I am more than happy with my results and think I definitely look "better" than past shows. Interested to see how the weekend plays out but I already won in my mind and the contest is just a cake walk IMO.

I used to love beer and wings. Now pizzas are my fatty binge food along with Jr Whoppers from BK!
My wife is going to book an appt at Picture People to get photos taken between prejudge and finals. First time doing this. Should get some novel looks walking through the mall with my Dream Tan on.
Breaking Bad is amazing. I have watched all of the seasons 3 times through. It was actually the motivation for me to shave my head and grow a goatee two years ago.
Saturday can't get here soon enough - ready to rock and roll!!!

Front loading is all well and good but as the days tick by and the carbs taper back, hunger rears its ugly head again
Last major workout today was chest, tris and shoulders. Got lots of looks and compliments and well wishes from my gym crew. Posing went okay. Having some issues with a couple poses and the timing of them in my routine. Got 2 days to practice it though so not stressing. It's all just for fun up there anyways in the evening. Big smile and big muscles
Off work rest of the week so have lots of little things to get done such as teeth cleaning tomorrow, groceries for show day as well as crap food for after, full body shave tomorrow night, spray tan on Friday morning and will likely spend most of Friday with my feet up and watch inspirational vids like pumping iron or generation iron.
Getting close to that time my friends - excited to get all bronzed up as this will be my first time using dream tan. Was planning on putting it on first thing in am on sat and then just touch up backstage. Wife thinks we should wait until we get to venue and checked in and then apply it. Thoughts??!

2 days out
Weight - 203.6 lbs (down 0.7 from yesterday)
Today's Plan:
40 minute full body circuit workout, posing and 20 mins MISS
240 P, 240 C, 45 F
Water - 2 gallons
Sodium - 4000 mg
Weight continues it's slow decline but fairly certain I won't get depleted enough to hit my prep low of 202.0 lbs.
Today I have a dentist appt and also plan on going grocery shopping to get a few things for show day as well as some post show treats. High up on my list believe it or not is a barrel of party mix. My son and I love that stuff and he will be happy to share the "cheese crunchies" with dad again
Gonna keep working on posing and psyching myself up mentally. How you project yourself onstage and the confidence you show goes a long way to helping your cause. Need to make it look fun and effortless.

Workout this afternoon was a short 40 min circuit style workout. Floated from exercise to exercise working on getting a full body pump basically. Did less posing than I probably should have / been terribly bloated and gassy lately. I think it may be related to the increase in oats this week and the Splenda I put on it. Going to cut out artificial sweeteners from now until the show and I also picked up some ww bagels and have just our meal of oats per day instead of 3.
Emailed Paul letting him know I felt I looked the fullest and hardest on Tuesday (Monday was 400 grams carbs). I am nervous because I have always backloaded and have to trust Paul in this respect. He said we will take a look at my physique first thing Friday AM and decide if we wanna go with more than the prescribed 180 grams of carbs.
That's about it. Cooking some chicken and sweet potato for show day right now. Did 20 mins on the elliptical as well.
