Hi Everyone!
I finally got the footage from the meet. This is the vid that the guy who edited the footage made.
Things have been crazy around here lately. Last week we breed our beef cows. They got locked up for a couple days and were pretty cranky.
We also had two calves born in the last week. I got lucky and they are both heifers, girls. They are Jersey Angus crosses. I am excited about them because I would like to change the way I do some of the chores around here. i would like to be able to leave for a few days and not have to have someone come milk. So a cow that isn't just a total milk producer, like a jersey would be a nice animal to have around. Anyway, I digress.
I have also decided to put my kids in school next year and not home school them. I am hoping this will be a good decision for all of us.
Then I totally forgot! I have been tracking for over 3 weeks straight now! YAY ME!! Anyway. I am hitting 150P and 175C as my goals on 2200 cals. My weight is going down ever so slightly. I am about a solid K down in the 3 weeks. So I am going to keep at this another week and then decide if i want to make any adjustments.

That video is awesome. I love how he did multiple angles and only did the slow motion where it was needed. I hate watching a video where everything is slowed down and you're waiting 5 minutes for the rep to start lol. I wish they did that at the PL meet I did, I went by myself, so I had no one to film. I'd love to see how my lifts looked.

Funny thing is I am still hungry on 2200 cals. EEK!!!
That sucks you had no one there with you to take vids and cheer you along. I thought the guy did a great job on the vid. He made me look like a bad azz! LOL!
Thanks Tamara!!
One of those white cows is still hoarse! I mean for real. She was pissed off!!
I hope that this next year will be better. I love my kids more than the world, but I am one person and I can only do so much in life!! And you are right. if school does not work, we can always do something else. But my kids did well in school.
If I was you I would be shoveling everything I saw in my mouth this week!! You did so awesome!

I bet your girls will so great. You can still be involved in their schooling while having a bit more time to get things done.
At least you know you can successfully homeschool though.

I am sure they will be fine. It will be nice to not feel like my every minute is taken up with something. Me time is something I have sorely missed the last yr.

Cows are totally FTW!
You are too kind Joel! Now to fix the forward dip on the jerk!
Today was a fun day!! The scale said 62.1 this am. Was happy with that, but more happy when I but my weight belt on to do Push Press and had to tighten it an extra notch! WHOOP!!!!!!!
Goal for the day was 40 snatch and a heavy double clean. I wanted to hit 45 on the double clean. Best I got was 43. so I did a 10x35.
Snatch

Edit
You guys know the Dos Equis guy? I don't think he is all that funny, hubs says that is cause I am not a guy. NEWay. So after lifting at the gym in town for like 6 months now I have decided they need to make a picture with him that says, "I don't normally warm up, but when I do, I use the bar and 2 big wheels."
I can not figure out these people who come in, no stretching, no warm up. Squat 135, then straight to squat 225. Of course it is all 1/4 reps. but really. Same with bench. SMH.Last edited by jjeane; 06-12-2014 at 10:59 AM.

Sorry about the kitty
Animals are so fragile and easy to lose. How mnay kitties did we have when I was growing up that either got out of the house and ran away/got lost, or chased away by a bigger cat/dog, or hit by a car, etc. I try not to get attached but it's hard!

Hey B! I am excited about a second meet as well. The nerves of the first time will be over and hopefully I can just DO IT!!
Thanks about the kitty. It was pretty sad for everyone. The week will be better!
Thanks Drea. I think I will live vicariously through others kittens. it just stinks that the only ones I fall for died early deaths.
I think you are so cool as well!
Thanks Tamara! Luckily I have plenty of time to get ready for the next meet.
Life on a farm is hard sometimes. You just have to remember more babies will come.
Fair point there Boomer! I can't even DL 225 LOL!
You mad I warm up with your max, no Boomer is just the BOMB!!
Thanks Lori. You are right. But they are so cute when they are little and it is hard not to fall for them!

Sorry for your loss JJ.
Yeah I don't get that either, I start with the bar on most things if nothing else just to make sure I have my equipment set up right. I don't wanna find out I forgot to set up something correctly with any kind of real wt on there. I'd say most people who fail to do proper warmups will create some kind of problem/injury after a few years of doing that. The biggest dudes I've seen in the gym tend to warm up with tiny wt and go up slowly, I really started to notice this the last couple years.Current PRs:

Yes, losing pets is no fun. I don't think we are ever really ready to lose one. I hope when the time comes you find another cool cat RB!
And of course you do full reps! LOL!
Thank Hammie.
So this is me. I have issues in life. I can only imagine loading up and then have the bar too high or some dumb shiz. That or screwing up a shoulder or knee.
Hey you! I have been meaning to come by your journal. I am interested in starting the daily squats. So I will come by and ask a few ?'s if that is okay!
Hey Tina! Nice to see you!
I do a lot of those accidental pulls myself!
Okay. So today went better than I expected. My back is still giving me issues. URGH!!!!!!!! I so need to find a way to manage this better. Also, I ate half the house yesterday and now am back to square one on the weight/tracking issue. URGH!!!
