Sorry... Haven't been able to log on and was saving cell phone battery. Been without power since Monday at 5pm. Other than that I'm ok. House is good. Just gonna loose all my food! LOL I heard the meet is still on in Long Island.
LOL Wade. I got the seal of approval for those squats from Kara herself. So if they're high one of the best in the sport is wrong. LOL
Bench is down cause of my shoulder. Bench training sucked. I should at the least bench 405 and most maybe 430. I haven't seriously trained my deadlift in about 10 years. So not sure what I will pull, but I am there mostly to squat. I'll probably pull 550-600.

Thanks. That's what I've been telling my wife. We could've had it much worse. Power may be out for a long time. Gonna try to make it to work tomorrow. I work in the World Financial Center in NYC. No power down there and my fellow workers told me that West Street was under 3-4 feet of water. Trade Center for flooded.
Have to see how my back responds. But after the meet I don't plan on squatting for at least a month. Rest the knees so I may pull a bit.Crom Laughs....

I've been told that the meet is still on for next weekend. So as long as this gas thing gets cleared up and I have gas, I will be going.
Been told by Con Ed that I should be back by Nov 9th. Great.
First day back at work. It was weird driving down to lower Manhattan in complete darkness. Lower Manhattan still has no power. And I had to get here real early to beat the carpool rule that starts at 6am. Never thought I would be happy to be at work. I have power here and a computer!
But on the bright side, even though I had no power since Monday, I still found out that George Lucas sold his company to Disney and there will be 3 more Star Wars movies. Yes, I am a huge Star Wars geek. As a couple of my tats attest to.Crom Laughs....

I'm well aware I could have it worse and I am thankful. Luckily I can get food. Almost all places are open. Power outage in Yonkers is very scattered. But I don't wanna keep eating McDonalds and pizza as much as I love both. Luckily the gym has been open so I was able to get my last trainind days in. Tomorrow I will do some light machine work, not benching. Then I am done till the meet.(hopefully)
Rockaway,Jersey,Brezzy Point and Staten Island got it the worst. I just had building inspectors and insurance inspectors come to the building here to check for damage, which there was none.Crom Laughs....

Thanks Jason. I keep telling myself I am lucky, but it still sucks when you are going on 8 days without power. Eating has been a bit of a challenge, but I have been eating. I weighed about 266 on Saturday. I have a feeling at the meet I'll weigh in about 262 or so. (If I can make it now, f****** gas bull****).
Saw the thread, I made a response. Leviathan....good one....lolCrom Laughs....

RPS Meet
Weighed in at 264.4. Did better than I expected so I am pretty happy with the results.
Big thanks to my guys who came out to help me Kevin,Joe,Eric and Stas. Also my beautiful wife who always supports me. And mad props to my good friend Kara, who recommended I do her squat routine to get my squat back up. Worked better than I could have hoped for!!

I might have had 680 in me, but not sure on 700. Besides, I had to go off what I did in training. I only touched 600 and 630 2 weeks before the meet. And the goal of the meet was to just squat 600. It was a milestone for me to comeback from hurting my back. Go 60 pounds more was a big bonus.
I also just missed a 450 bench. But that was kinda of pushing it anyway. Since my bench training really suffered for this meet because of my shoulder. I couldn't work my weak point which is the lockout.
Thanks. Alot of people were wondering why I didn't deadlift 650. LOL. Warming up was the first time I performed a deadlift in 3 years at the last meet I did!!Crom Laughs....

Thanks man. Now I have to think about what to do next. I was honestly thinking this would be the last one, but I did much better than I expected and I think 700 is very close. I think I might have had 680 in me, which is my best so far(in competition anyway). Just not sure how much more my knees can take. lol

Well, I will always powerlift to some degree, but not sure how long I will compete. I was honestly hoping this would be my last one. But I do alot better than expected and realize 700 is just about there. So I may have to push for a bit more. My knees are still sore from Sunday. Gonna rest the rest of this week, then go back this weekend and do some light stuff, then see what I'll do. I have January in mind, but I will not be able to do the volume I did in the squat for this meet. So, I have to see.

Just saw this, listening to my friend Rheta on Vegas Power Hour, not too much. Took some time off after my last meet. Didn't bench for a couple months and few weeks off squatting, then just squatting light. Ramping it up now, hopefully do a meet in July. 10 training weeks left.
But, and you'll love this, I'll be doing the meet in knee wraps.Crom Laughs....

Well, lets not go that far...... But yeah, my body is betraying me.....
Luckily though I never forgot my superior wrapping skills
Yeah she kicked ass a couple weeks ago. I'm not a gear fan and of course gave her some crap, but luckily she laughs me off and knows I am really happy for her. She was nice enough to even mention me, she's been a really close friend for a long time. And she has the raw squat record as well.Crom Laughs....
