They have a few Patriot sites, so going from a few Patriot sites and S300/S400 sites to just a few Patriot sites (one of which got destroyed recently) is a big blow to their air defense.

Deficit spending simply requires that the economy grows by more than the debt. Generally the US economy grows pretty reliably, so there's that. I would see foreign aid being curtailed before military spending was, which would be frowny for Israel of course.

Nonsense, Degrading Iranian capabilities is a direct benefit to US security interests when Iran is choosing to use those capabilities against the interests of the United States. Simply destroy every building at every airfield / missile site they have since they chose to launch missile / drone strikes and directly degrade their relevant capabilities.

Apparently they launched 300 something missiles/drones, simply launch 3,000 back. Instead of conducting missile drills and shooting live ordnance at uninhabited islands off the US coast or on our missile ranges, just shoot them at Iran.

Good training value, and as a bonus the US could sink every naval asset the Iranians could use to mine the straight.
