If you click on the Register Now button you will get a message saying welcome back and how many days you have left. Mine says 68 days but it also says my 12 weeks are up. A few days ago it said I had 0 days left. Yes, it's messed up.

The last 24 hours have been very rough personally. Like, really rough.
I fear what could screw me up in this comp if things keep going the way they have been since yesterday afternoon, as I become a serious non- eater during times of tragedy/chaos. 1992 and 2005 I got down to 88 pounds because eating was out of the question. The first episode was known by friends and family so no one questioned me about the rapid and dramatic weight loss. The second time it was a private personal matter, and one of the few friends who DID know told me there was a rumor going around I must have AIDS or cancer.
Oh, i still made it to the gym. Was going to re-consider the creatine supplementation, being the water weight gain might blur any visible scale results, frustrating me. Today I hit a PR on bench which I have decided to attribute to that, so I will continue.
Adding to my crappy day I re-pulled my hernia. On---get this---one arm DB kickbacks. WTf???? Squatting 200 and DL 300 and nothing. A little iso exercise and BAM.
I have been spending all afternoon Trying to reposition my intestines back in my gut.Last edited by discdoggie; 01-30-2013 at 12:34 PM.

Snap, redirecting telemetry now. How's the surf out there? My old boss was an east coast surfer. I'm west coast kid, stuck in desert now. But I still sponge and surf few times a year visiting family in Cal.

Just signed up & ready to go! I am doing starting strength to begin, since I haven't done any serious training in years. Having my son by c-section 18 months ago & problems healing after the surgery has wreaked havoc on my back & abs. Not sure if starting strength is enough for a contest like this? Any input would be appreciated! Getting my nutrition in check as well & my husband will be participating as well. Good Luck to all!

I think night shift is wrecking me this time around. (who am I kidding it always does). Worked off yesterday morning, took kids to school then hit the gym. Had a great work out. (All Pro's C1W2D2)
Squat 210 2x9
Bench 150 2x9
BOR 95 2x9
OHP 95 2x9
SlDl 185 2x9
BB curls 95 2x9
calf raises Unfortunately skipped due to asshat taking over Smith machine for 1/4 ROM bench press at every different incline (yes each notch)
.
This was the good. The bad.... I didn't get to bed until 10pm last night. An hour later woke with awful leg cramps. And now here I am at 3:xx in morning wide awake (up for 31 hrs) I'm hoping cramps are just from lack of sleep and low electrolytes and not from over work. I was really looking forward to some HIIT spin today.Cutting on All Pro's

Starting strength is enough. You can post your nutrition goals, I am sure somebody would help with that if it gets confusing.
Leg cramps suck. I get them when my diet gets weak in potassium occasionally. Really screws up a nights sleep. Stay positive on the shift work, it can be done. The most important aspect of weight training; whether for the athlete, bodybuilder, or average person is to better ones health and ability without injury. - Bill Pearl

For the first time since starting my transformation in November I am starting to lose motivation. I think the reality is setting in about just how far I have to go.

Hello everyone. It's a long road and if it were easy, everyone would be doing it. All I can say is stay focused, give it everything you got and take it one day at a time.
Wed is my off day from training, so nothing to report.
Today was chest/bis
Flat bench
95 x 10 x 2
105 x 8 x 2
115 x 6 x 2
105 x 10
Flat bench DB flys
40's x 12 x 2
45's x 10 x 2
50's x 8 x 2
I was happy with the above, because I've been dealing with a shoulder injury for months. Everything is slowly coming back...so I'll take what I can.
BB curls
BB x 15 x 2

Try and remember that you're not in a race. You're changing your lifestyle, and that's not an easy process. Try not to focus on where you need to go, but focus on what you have done. And remember that you're doing something that many haven't the courage or inclination to do!

Finished All Pro's C1W2.
Squat 185 2x9
Bench 125 2x9
BOR 75 2x9
OHD 75 2x9
SLDL 145 2x9
BB curl 65 2x9
Calf raises 125 2x9
Thinking of using the 90% weights for heavy days on Squat and SLDL. Starting to have a little groin pain after workouts and not sure about my form on SLDL. All the other lifts seem crazy easy. It will be interesting to see what the end of the cycle brings.Cutting on All Pro's
