So never see any threads around here about people going on runs so let's have one. If this generates enough interest could make it into a crew.
Running is a really great way to keep fit and in shape. I've done a half marathon in 2011 which was great after 4 months of running. Now I'm just running 3 miles three times a week.
If you have a smartphone a brilliant app to download and that is free is Endomondo

My log is devoted to it. A marathon this year and the Ironman the next.

One of my NYR's was to start running again and I'm probably gonna be doing a 10k in May so this thread is pretty relevant to me. Did my first run in years today, did 2 miles in 20 mins including warming up and down, feelsbadman. It was also my first time on a treadmill, felt weird as **** for the first few mins until I got used to it, almost fell off a couple of times :/

I run a fair bit.
Been running exclusively in "barefoot" shoes for the last 3 years.
Vibrams are over-rated. Here's what I've been using for the last 2 years: Zemgear.com (the 360's)
10k is my preferred distance and my best time from late last year was 37 minutes.*Barefoot runners crew*

Says marathon runner's are the only athletes who don't get any cancer other than skin.
I used to enjoy running but sprints just seem better for cardio from what I've heardDo not confuse realism with mundanity - life is malleable
