Gotta post this workout up in a minute, eating now (was trying to go to bed but had some work related issues plus I ended up burning more than I expected so I'm trying to cram food in before midnight.) Bad day was bad, workout was ok though.
Yeah I'm a tiny bit obsessive when I have access to stuff like this too.
LOL!
I do but I didn't realize it was unusual for the average person. In the morning at work (like 6-8) I'm walking around a ton on docks, to offices, to trucks, carrying this over here, running over there to yell at that person, sprinting back with somebody's mini fridge on my back lol to send it somewhere else, etc. Then when I'm on the road it's basically drive for 5min, stop, throw boxes on shoulder, sprint somewhere, drop off, sprint back, etc. Only doing that part a few hrs a day generally but it seems to add up quick. I have a red rug burn line on my arm cause this thing is TIGHT, need to order a Large so I don't dig a line in the skin. :/
Good idea, thanks for the tip!
Haha yeah, I never realized how much just plain walking uses in terms of energy.
3282 did a very light workout though, the whole workout was back and forth phone calls/texts/note jotting for a situation I was trying to solve.
STATS AT 11:30PM:
3282 cals
4hrs 23min moderate activity
none vigorous
19,219 steps
5hrs sleep
Damnit I'm really on a concentration camp diet of 2450/day, didn't realize I burn like 3300 on a lifting day. Will post graphs sometime soon, finally people will believe I have to bulk at 3500+ haha.Current PRs:
Bench Press: 200x1
Deads: 315x1

Squats looked good, IMO. I am always impressed with your bent over rows. Large part the weight you move, but simply because you can do the move. Me and that row don't get along. HOWEVER, me and Pendlays are like best friends. lol.
If you ever need a break from that bodymedia thing, you can send it my way. Sounds interesting enough, but don't want to spend the money. lol. I'll pay a rental fee though. :-)"There's something about a heavy weight that makes a body not want to get under it. I think you are on to something here. Maybe if the government gave out BodyMedias and smart phones to all we would not need ObamaCare. Americans would be motivated to be more active and would see how much food they could actually eat and enjoy if they got off the effing couch and moved around. Healthcare costs would go down, government expenditure would be much lower than expected with ObamaCare, and there would be leaner rawring hambots taking over the world. You will be our model for this proposal - let's make it happen.

I noticed you were looking more svelte in your latest videos. This could explain why.
MM is on to something. I am watching a whole lot less TV now that I have one. Seeing how few calories I burn while watching the bewb tube has me thinking to myself, "You know you're not burning anything right now as you sit in front of this thing." Heck! My biggest burn day was when I was cleaning the house!~TEAM AMAZON~ Sisterhood of Iron

It was a revelation to me how many calories I don't burn when I'm just sitting around. As I've said before, when I'm just at the computer or reading or watching tv, the bodymedia thinks I'm more or less dead. I apparently am the least fidgety person in the world. It's amazing to me I don't weigh 300 pounds.

Just popping in for a min, tryna get some foods in and then going to bed, will be back tomorrow (I think lol, can't go any WORSE than today I suppose.)
Thanks! LOL ham is like an efficient furnace.
Thanks dood. Yeah you say that now bout wanting to bulk at 3500, wait til you're busy and it's a choice between eating and sleep, see BodyMedia info below, I am soooo mad lol.
^^^Hahaha!!!
Thank you, I got dem strong azz rear delts and trapz srs. I love my rows. Man I need a bigger arm band, this thing is killing me haha!
Thanks Geek, planning on upping the wt next time when I'm not distracted and have confidence that I'm not fuking up my knees. They never hurt from squats or after, I was always worried though.
True on all accounts. Yeah I usually get 7ish hrs but with work I've been going to bed later and getting up earlier, just until Xmas, then I'll be fine and go back to daily naps as well srs. Like today I went to work at 6am and got home at 9pm, trying to shove sammiches in my face before I go to bed.
I think it's the Neogenix shirt I won, srs, dem Large white tee shirts look pretty sweet with my forearms IMO, just sayin. Really happy I can wear Large shirts sometimes and have muscle popage. With the burning cals just go running for an hour a few times a week, srs, that'll take care of it and it's pretty easy.
LOL I'm all twitchy ham and sprinting around my kitchen. Seriously the second I wake up in the morning I SPRINT to my closet for a shirt while taking my pants off, it's kinda strange really but it works and I don't like being cold so I get dressed as quickly as humanly possible. I also set the thermostat at 75 degrees to kick on a 1/2hr before I wake up srs, that is how much I hate being cold in the mornings. /crazy
Ah that bar is back there with straps, any further and I may not be able to hold it there after so much weight.
BODYMEDIA TODAY (all the fuk I did was go to work so wtf, I am mad at these results, I don't have time to sit here and eat all night):
-Cals 4586 (prob a tad more, took the thing off a couple hrs ago)
-physical activity 11hrs 29min (32 min were "vigorous")
-Steps 29,326
-Sleep 4:42 lulz was on the phone dealing with something last night for hours (shooting for 6hrs sleep tonight)
Fuking 4586 cals though, ugh, that means I have to eat 4k today? WUT?! I seriously don't have time, got home at 9:30. Yes, mad. Ooo better stop typing or I'll burn MORE freaking calories, jezuz. Ok, sleepyhamtime.jpg see you guys tomorrow.Current PRs:
Bench Press: 200x1
Deads: 315x1
Back Squats: 275x1

Hmmm...I don't know. It seems to me that if you were really burning that much, you'd be wasting away at the 2500-ish cals you've been eating. You said you've only been losing about 1/2 lb a week, right? I think you'd have been miserable and losing more if you were really at a 2000 cal deficit. I'll be interested to see how this goes and how accurate it really is.

Holy sh*t. I just looked it up and the most steps I ever got was 25,816 and I know that was the day I went on a seven mile walk. You walk like 8 miles a day at work? No wonder you have the metabolism of a 16 year old boy! Don't get heartburn stuffing down all that food and then going right to sleep.

BRB posting at 5am, came on here to check work reports, but meh, gonna eat mah oats and check out bb.com instead. (May not be home from work again til 9pm ish. )
That does not happen every day though, I literally worked (like walking, running, lifting/carrying stuff) from 6am to 7:45pm with zero breaks in there (maybe taking out 2min to pee if I was in a place that had a bathroom SRS.) If I did that daily for a long period yeah I'd be losing weight a lot quicker or have to eat 4k a day at maint. Fortunately I am not generally working that much (usually only doing this type of stuff for 4-6hrs a day) I usually leave work at noon and either go home or go to the gym. I do believe I've been correct about my average maint being 3k/day though. I was just mad yesterday cause I didn't have much time to shove sammiches in my face at work. Tried to take bites of stuff between carrying things srs, and even went to Wendys and loaded up on 3 cheeseburgers and fries. I'm packing a crapload of food today so I can snack throughout the day and get my cals up to at least 3k so I don't lose wt too fast by the end of the month.
LULZ! Yeah 8 miles a day walking when I'm working for over 12hrs straight with no rest periods does not surprise me, what shocked me was how many cals you burn from simply throwing someone's mini fridge over your shoulder and running it up to their house. People love dem mini fridges man. Haha well I suppose I'll take a metabolism like that rather than the opposite, can't complain being a 30yr old ham anymore. I guess I'm still quite spry.
Excellent! Shoulders have felt perfect the last few days, even been back at bb benching.
Alright guise, need to check some stuff for work, hopefully I'll be home at a decent hr today, if not I'll make sure I eat like 10 Cheeseburgers. (If you order a mini fridge you may see my hammie ass sprinting up to your door, don't be alarmed.)Current PRs:

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a calorie burn that high before! Hahaha! Interested to see what your weekly average will be! I don't think I EVER hit 29,000 steps- the most MIGHT have been ~22,000, or possibly 25,000 ONCE. lol!

Wow, you burn a crapton of calories but like Lori said its were I though it would be based off of what you've said about your job. The nice thing about the Body Media is that it "learns" the user the more you wear it, mine will often predict what I will burn the next day and its often right or pretty close. I have the arm dent too and an awesome tan line to match lol. Just move it up and down like others have said and it helps with that. Hi hobbes! thanks for posting the squat vids, it helps me think about my form when I watch others. I thought yours looked good. Knees, depth etc..
I think you use the straps for shoulder injury(?) have you ever thought about getting one of the safety squat bars? pricey, but might be worth it.

Yay got home from work at 6 today, TIME TO EAT! (Only at 1800 cals meh, need at least 1k more.)
Lol Ham is breaking records already! BOOYAH - told you guise I'd be logging some epic numbers.
I sense you are mocking me. Brohametta I am sitting here eating almond butter, fruit, oatmeal, and cereal desperately trying to cram cals in, in the meantime I have to go cook two pizzas with ham, mushrooms, pepperoni, broccoli, and bbq sauce - one for tonight and one to take to work tomorrow for my 9am snack - it's hard to be me!
Haha I can pay you in chicken legs.
Lulz, I wonder how much average people who don't exercise burn. Is that where this weird 2,000cals a day for the average adult comes from? Seriously I'd be dead on dat.
Bwahhahaha BENCH PRESS YEAH!

Ooo ninja lurker!
Thank you! I always get a little weirded out by squats (always think something is horribly wrong and don't want to end up with some injury) but I think I'm good, knees never hurt during/after and I walk 20,000+ steps a day I guess lol so I must be ok. Yeah it's for shoulder injury, if I try to get my arms back there it really irritates past injuries. Oh I love the looks of those squat safety bars, not sure where to get one, may have to be a bday present for myself. Kinda got like 10 packages coming already from Black Friday/Cyber Monday online shopping haha, but most of those are sups/Xmas presents/work shoes that I needed to get anyways. Thanks on the rows, one of my favorite lifts!
BODYMEDIA (Sorry can't get pics to resize! )
Yesterday 11-28-12
Today 11-29-12 (at like 6pm I think so still some to go)
It blows my mind I don't need to do any actual exercise to hit that. What I do at work I DO NOT consider exercise. I guess it depends who you ask. Most people who get even a measly 50lb package from me are all mind=blown when I jog up with it on my shoulder (but that's like a weight plate, notevenheavy.jpg, I carry those around all the time in the gym.) It does make me kinda sad sometimes that a lot of people could not lift up a 75lb box if their life depended on it, very weird, makes life easier when you can just pick up whatever and get stuff done. BRB I wanna move the couch cause I lost a toy football behind it (truestory.jpg) ok so I'll move the couch, no prob and accomplished without herniating myself, sweating, being out of breath, or going ZOMG couch weighs 5 tons. Keep liftin' people, it's your only chance for survival when the zombies come.
BMedia halp!!! How do you type in the foods eaten numbers? I can't figure that part out. It wants me to log each and every thing but I don't have time, can't I just type in I ate 3kcals, x pro, x carbs, etc???Current PRs:
Bench Press: 200x1
Deads: 315x1
Back Squats: 275x1

Yep, lifting makes life better. We got a new water heater last month and I helped my husband get it out of the truck and put it up on the stand. My dad stopped by and said, "I came by because I thought he'd need help getting the water heater up there, but I forgot godzilla lives here too" (I'm godzilla, lol).
I moved my 5 peice sectional all over the place on Sunday to make room for my xmas tree in the living room. Turns out it's a pretty good workout to move your couch around like 5 times.
I was wondering if you'd have to enter every food in that Bodymedia thing. That would really be a pain if you've already been logging somewhere else for a long time.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The average American takes 5117 steps a day, in one study at least. That's an average, so obviously there are a whole freaking lot who take less than that. Compare that to your own. Never underestimate how lazy and sedentary your fellow citizens are.
Let me tell a story. There's an elementary school bus stop at my corner. I cannot tell you how many times I have seen mothers waiting in their cars to meet the school bus. On beautiful sunny warm spring or fall days. They are too fukcing lazy to walk three or four blocks to get their kids and are also teaching those kids to be fukcing lazy. It makes me rage. (Let me emphasize, these are not elderly grandparents picking up the kids nor are they women with three other very small children in the car with them, both circumstances which obviously would not cause me to rage. These are just lazy ass women and the occasional lazy ass dad. They can't ALL be recovering from surgery or have broken ankles.) So, yeah, these people aren't burning many calories. Which is why it's really scary to go to Walmart or Costco or somewhere and look around.
