look bruh since the line is parrallel to another one with gradient = -ve 2, that means they have the same gradient
using Y=mx+c to design our new line connecting A and B we already know our gradient which is -2 so ,
Y=-2x+C lets sub a given point (2,3)
3=-2(2)+C thus C = 7
so the equation of our new line is Y=-2x+7
now we want to know what 'a' is so we will sub Y=-1 and X=a
-1=-2(a)+7
-8=-2a
a=4

for english, how is this introductory paragraph?
“Aggression is inherently destructive of relationships. People and ideologies are pitted against each other, believing that in order to survive, they must destroy the opposition.” – Margaret J. Wheatley
Margaret Wheatley’s quote describes basic human instincts to a tee – we are built to survive and reproduce. We must eliminate the competition in order to guarantee survival and reproduction, however. That’s when our biological programming helps us out – being aggressive comes naturally to all humans, allowing us to do whatever necessary to reach the top, and remain at the top. When a threat arises, we are able to take out the threat. Because aggression is an unpreventable part of human nature, world peace is something that can never be achieved.
thesis isBecause aggression is an unpreventable part of human nature, world peace is something that can never be achieved.

yes the question is to simplify but either i got it wrong or something but idk the answer i got is 1
basically the question goes like this,its a division problem and both the number being divided and the other are fractions with a number being added/subtracted
this is the problem : by the way keep in mind the (/) is what im using to indicate the fraction.
7-1/y
______
7+1/4
what i did to get the answer of 1 was i saw that both 7's had a denominator of 1 so i got a common denominator l over by mulltiplying by y ( the numbeerator and denominator of the 7's) to get a common denominator
i ended up getting
7y-1/y times y/7y-1
by cancelling out method i got 1 over 1 which is basically 1
can any of you tell me what i did wrong here or if im correct im f'in confused in this class my teachers a russion lady with a accent youll never yawndastdone ( understand) thats her accent

Gr 11 physics questsion (not for me for sis):
(background: p-t (position time), v-t (velocity time), hw is on a cart that was pushed and the speed it traveled was recorded)
using p-t and v-t data.... how do you justify non uniform motion
is it because in the v-t, the velocity is not constant or is it because the rate of velocity is not constant
and for p-t is it because the position of the cart at different times is increasing in rate or is it because displacement is increasing
how to justify non uniform motion using pt and vt data not graph++ Positive Crew ++

nonuniform motion implies velocity is not constant so acceleration is occuring in terms of vt graph, the line is not a straight line so increasing and in terms of pt graph the line is not linear but rather an increasing curve like y=x^2 in which the rate of change by which y increaeses gets greater and greater as you go across hence it curves up.
so vt-velocity not constant pt-because the rate of the position of the cart is increasing or decreasing with respect to time.[300 Spartan Crew [Helot/ 22nd July2012]]

Economics 100:
When there is a fall/decrease in supply, would the supply curve shift to the right or left? I swear, my professor had an example in class where the supply decreased and shifted to the right but every link I've seen shows the curve shifting to the left when it decreases. I could have made a mistake when writing the notes in class, though.

You might of wrote it down wrong, for instance he might of used an example to help explain the shifting to the left midway through, were he related it to an example that had the word 'right' in it (happens to me sometimes with other things, not just business related) But yes the supply curve does shift to the left when supply is decreased.

F(x) = x/x-5
Then I got x = y/y-5, then I multiplied both sides by y-5 and got y = x(y-5) but my teacher said its wrong because there is a y on the right side, what did I do wrong/how can I get rid of the y on the right.1k+ all day. Just write repback.

Failing organic chem hard, can anyone help ?
100 question assignment, need these ten.
Just any answer would be appreciated ?
Treatment of 1-iodo-3-methylbutane with sodium cyanide (NaCN) in acetone gives as the major product what ?
What is the expected major product arising from the reaction of
2-chloro-2-methylpentane with NaOH in ethanol?
A reaction of 3.57 grams of 1-chloropentane with excess sodium ethoxide in ethanol was carried out. The actual yield was 3.70 grams of product. Find the % yield for this SN2 reaction. (You need to identify the product first!!) Give your answer in %, to three significant figures without the units.

Treatment of 4-cyclopentyl-2-pentanone with which of the following reagents
produces 4-cyclopentyl-2-pentanol?
The following reaction sequence was performed: Substance A was reacted with sodium borohydride (in ethanol) and the resulting substance B was then treated with 48% HBr, yielding substance C. This was then reacted with concentrated NaOH in ethanol to give a product D. Analysis of D showed a molecular formula of C8H8. A spot test with deep purple acidic KMnO4 solution on A produced no reaction. A spot test with deep purple acidic KMnO4 solution on B produced a colourless solution with a brown precipitate.
Additionally, a spot test on A with a solution sodium bicarbonate produced no bubbles.
What is the name of compound A?

You need an attention getter (or compositional risk) for the first sentence something interesting about attention. And your thesis is good but you need to add to it what your gonna be talking about for therest of the paper like I would usually take the first sentence of the 3 main body paragraphs and incorporate that into the thesis statement.
Also get all the quotes out of the intro you shouldn't present any new information in an introduction an introduction should tell you what your going to be talking about in the body paragraphs
