Tonights cardio was MONUMENTAL!! I said I was going to raise my cardio standards, and I did. Not only did I surpass my new standards, I ended up raising them again!! I stated that I was looking to burn a minimum of 200 calories within the 20 minute time frame. Well I aimed way to low. I shattered that goal today by not only burning more than 250 calories, but also going a further distance. If it sounds like I'm a tad bit excited well its because I am. Cardio has been a nemesis but only because that's the title I gave it mentally.
Well like I said, I shot too low on my Cardio standards. My NEW Cardio standards are as follows;- to burn a minimum of 330 calories within the 20 minute window
- to go further than 2 miles within same time frame.
So looking farward to Thursdays Cardio session!!

hey Lex29us
That’s a great post there about your wife, my brother had a similar situation I managed to convince them both it was for the better if she got on board and she did there both doing great at the gym and working together.
Last week’s podcast skips asks me what my thoughts on this type of situation, if you haven’t listened to it, have a listen as skips gives some pointers too!!
Keep training hard!Train hard and Think Big

I've been doing really well with my shoulder training. I can see little details in my delts and traps showing up. Looking to move up on two exercises today. Barbell Shrugs, and Seated DB Presses.
Routine is switching up a bit, but only for today. I'll be doing my Cardio in the morning, and training this evening. Not expecting any slow down though.

What was AWESOME about this workout?
My lats, and biceps are getting stronger. I can feel the difference in various exercises.
What about this workout still needs IMPROVEMENT?
Energy was lacking, and intensity wasn't where I wanted it to be throughout the workout.
*****SIDE NOTE******
Earlier this week, I created my own meal plan and put it all on a spread sheet. I've been able to track everything, and even set it up for a twelve week time period. So this being the first week, I was able to see where I I succeeded, VS where I need to put in more effort. One thing I noticed, as I head into the last few feeding schedules, was that as I got towards the end of the week, (Thur-Fri) was that I kind of fade off. In other words, my level of focus fades and a feeding is either late or missed. I'm glad I did this because I can see a broad picture of everthing that went on this week. I think it will be a big help to me.

Continously Learning
Mass Machine Training
Monday October 01st, 2012
So today starts my week off and it couldn't come at a better time. WOke up this morning feeling drained. Mainly because I was awakened way before I was supposed to get up. (I should have had kids at an earlier age) Looking back on the past week, I have to say it was a pretty good week. There were definitely a few things I could have done better and those corrections will be made, but overall, I had a great week.
During the time off, while I will take my break from the rigors of the weights, I wont stop my cardio. I'll continue my cardio sessions three days a week. I do not want to stop the roll I am on concerning my cardio efforts. I'll be doing my cardio from home so as to remove myself from the gym.
Daily Discipline:
On a scale of 1-10, how would I rate my week? 8.5/10
On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate the intensity of this week? 8/10
On a scale of 1-10, how closely did I follow my training plan? 9/10
On a scale of 1-10, how was I when I came to keeping my workout schedule? 9/10
Nutritional Daily Disciplines
I will plan my feedings ahead of time. 10/10
I will eat all my schedule feedings on time. 8.5/10
I will not miss ANY meals. 8/10
I will take my scheduled supplements on time. 9/10
I will drink 1g of water EVERY day. 10/10
I will have one cup of vegetables with 4 of my feedings, every day. 8/10
Since I wont be working with weights this week, my efforts will be placed on tightening you my nurtition. I've been good with eating my veggies, so I will continue on that route by increasing my vegetable intake. I also will look to make sure my meals are more proportioned. Meaning keeing my marcos in line. I'll be pushing to exceed my goals regarding Mass Machine Cardio. Seriously intent on pushing my limits.
I AM A MASS MACHINE!!
TRAINING HARD, THINKING BIG!!

Lex29US had some great words of encouragement for a lot of us. Thought I would share a piece of one of his posts he entered in my journal. It encouraged me a lot & I think it has a lot of good words for others:
Hey there HJB.....
there are many things in life we can use as fuel in order to achieve our goals. Disappointment is definately one of them. Use it, feed on it to push you to that next level. ................
Believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is absolutely nothing you cannot achieve. After all, you are a MASS MACHINE!Visit:
