still man, Our track athletes are always on beast mode. the only times we can't really win in track is the super long distance events where kenya just rapes people. and the 100m and 200m with usain. We still have Tyson Gay and a bunch of other sprinters though. Plus Lolo Jones hnnngg.

I was watching the trials earlier, and our guys in most events for track are looking solid.

We usually have a good freestyle and greco team too.

Jamaicans are going to sweep the sprints (both male and female) and Kenyas/Ethiopians/****lians etc. will take everything 1600 and up. Realistically, US T&F has a shot at the 400/800 and hurdle events.

Track is more than running. I was referring to jumping events, throwing events, decathlon, heptathlon, etc. We have all that locked down. Just wait and see.

Lol at you calling me an idiot when you fail to mention anything about the field events. Its more than just running. We do very well in discus, shotput, hammer, javelin. We have star high jumpers, long jumpers, and triple jumpers. We have great pole vaulters too. Both male and female.

One of their promising sprinters turned to weight training and now dominates his class, Lu Xiajoun sp?. No doubt there is a guy in China that has the potential to be the worlds fastest man, they need to invest money into sprinting.

lawl every year my parents go back to visit, they come back and tell me the average height is like mine, I'm like 99% sure they are exaggerating, but the better nutrition cannot be denied. My dad grew up on bowls of rice and eating meat only twice a year and got to 5'9". And my brother will be like freaking 6'5" because he was born here

I'm hoping a chinese athelete will win gold in sprints in my life time, will be exciting to see

USA is sending 2 superheavy women's lifters to London this year. Sarah Robles @ ~270 lbs and Holly Mangold @ 341 lbs.

Mangold's total at the US Open was 249kg. To put that # into perspective, the 63kg women's gold medalist at last year's worlds (Svetlana Tsarukayeva) put up a 255 kg total at a bodyweight of 136 lbs.
