Ok so say you mow lawns or something. Should you teach yourself to do everything with each hand? That way you don't build one muscle and not the other? And also (lets be mature here) should you be ambidextrious for masturbating? That way you equalize your muscle gain outside of the gym? Thanks guys!

no because general everyday activities should not induce significant enough hypertrophy.

There still may be some hypertrophy, or not hypertrophy but rather better mind to muscle connections. If you are right handed, trying to write with your left hand, it's confusing because you don't have the significant mind to muscle connection as with your right hand.
So your question, if you want to be more efficient, not with just bodybuilding, but daily life in general... Yes you should try to become ambidextrous. It is unique for a reason.
