Some goodies from the weekend:
Finally found Avery Maharaja! Heaven in a bottle. The DogFish Head ApriShop was very tasty as well. Very, very subtle apricot undertones.
Enough said about this one.http://www.haleo.com/

Aprihop is probably one of the worst beers of all time. Someone gave it to me at a bar last week when that person paid $1 for it as the bar couldn't sell it. I think it got worse than the first time I tried this a few yrs ago. Ultra flaiOfficial Supp. Misc Beer Policeman

It wasn't anything to write home about, but I did enjoy it. It was after 3 pints of the Maharaja, so I wasn't in my most sober state of mind.. or maybe I just flai
Iron Fist is outstanding. I usually fill up my growler every weekend cause it's right next to my house. It's actually right next to iForce's office. Where in SD are you?http://www.haleo.com/

Boy you crazy. Their Yellowtail is great for a nice, easy drinking beer. I'm more of an American IPA/Imperial IPA kinda guy, some softer pale ales still have their place
No, but it's on my to-do list. I haven't tried an Alesmith beer that I haven't like yet. I go to Stone Brewery quite a bit for drinks and food. They have some pretty insane gardens that you can cruise around in.http://www.haleo.com/

I have had essentially every beer from them. I used to live 20 minutes out of Akron just into Stark County. I have supported them a ton before I moved out last year. I went to every single release day. Never been disappointed by a single brew. You should cellar some BORIS. I had a 2010 at a tasting a few months ago, and it really turns into something special. A super noticeable difference between that and a fresh one.

lol scripps. Someone loves La Jolla.
A. Eff you, ohio brahs coming back
2. BORIS kinda sucks imo. DORIS rapes the shyt out of it for sure.
Like I said, Ohio brahs.
I think I bought a BORIS by accident. I'll hold it as long as I can; set to move outta this shytty state soon.
Had this yesterday. Man what a waste of whatever the hell it cost. Malt flavors were kinda weird, too piney. I'm getting sick of relying on BA for "helping" me make a decision.
Also picked up Fireston Walker 15th anniv. ale. Better not be a fukking disappoint at $18 or 19 a bottle.Official Supp. Misc Beer Policeman

lol well my first excuse (GLBC Xmas ale) was that I put it in cooler and left it in the basement of my old place. Didn't grab it until I went to move, found something like 3 'old' GLBC xmas ales in there from when I was 21-22; at this point, I was like 24ish.
BUT if you remember my beer selection pic from a few years ago, it was very easy to forget about all the damn beers I had. Now it's a very meager to where I almost "need" to buy beer whenever I want to drink. I'll dig up that pic on my photobucket to show you the diff between then and now.
Was fall 08 when I moved into where I currently live:
Then it ballooned to this in probably 09ish, maybe even 2010 as I see the Doppelrock 4pack there and I believe that came out in spring 2010:
Now I'm at this, taken just now:

Latest Hauls in the last month and a half:
Lots of imports lol. Tripels and Belgians galore, and My first De Struise. The Odins Tipple is 3 years old. Vitus is incredible, I had it last night. The mikkeller is Rum Barrel aged 2010 Santas Little Helper. The reviews are ****ty, but whatever.

Fuarking delicious. I love Cascade. I'm going to open my Le Bleu soon while the taste of the Cascade is still fresh in my brain to compare. Any brahs wanna throw a Blaeber my way to put in with the comparison?
Agreed. I like barleywines and really digged the Soltice. That said Peche Mortel is the shiit.

Had the Lagunitas Red Ale last night.. twas very good.
A little malty taste to start, then a nice bitter/semi hoppy finish. A very 'refreshing' style red ale.http://www.haleo.com/

Had that Mikkeller Hop Burn last weekend. It was really good. Not quite worth the $7 pricetag but that seems to be par for the course when it comes to Mik brews.
