One day of not counting can easily counteract a weeks worth of deficit. Are you happy with your progress?

a cheat day's damage has but one measure:

how much you feel it psychologically.

If you want my honest opinion, if you're posting a thread about it to try to get random internet people to validate it, you've already done enough damage.

Try incorperating foods you enjoy into your discretionary caloric intake to avoid the need for such things in the first place.

    Have you calculated your TEE?
If so at what deficit are you trying to maintain?
If you don't know the answer to those questions then what is the diet you are engaged in?

Basically (assuming you're running a 500cal deficit usually) this will add up to 3000calories over 6 days. If you then go 500 over maintenance on the last day you're only only a 2500calorie defecit each week. This means it will take you 9 days (including one cheat day of 500 over maintenance in there) to loose 1 lb (in theory).. Whereas if you didn't cheat it would take you 7 days to loose the same amount of weight..

I used to incorporate cheat days in my diet all the time, just a nice way to come of my diet and chill the hell out

But i used to do it in moderation this would be my example cheat day

    Breaky - Cereal

Few hours later, maybe a packet of crisps and 1-2 bars of chocolate

Few hours later maybe a subway

Then a massive meal at night, most likely pizza or southern fried chicken and chips with a big ol' desert. cheat days are OK IMO as long as you dont go crazy and eat like a god damn fat **** the whole day
