1/4 inch needles or 1/4 in pyramids for my sprinting spikes? or does it matter?

I should also mention that it depends on your experience.
Beginning sprinters are better off using pyramid spikes until very good form is achieved, because it's possible to scratch the opposite leg with with spikes if you overpronate on a stride. Needle spikes are used mostly for running on all-weather tracks that have a springy surface. These spikes are under the forefoot of the shoe, because short sprints are run entirely on the toes. This allows optimal forward motion, with the spikes keeping the foot pointed forward.<-------------Copied from the internet but it's good info☆☆☆υк ¢яєω☆☆☆

Run on pyramids, because unless you are very very light needles are a far less efficient design. I have a pair of pyramids, and a pair of christmas trees (sometimes illigal). Christmas trees are the most efficient unless you are very very light haha. The difference between them is needles sink all the way down into the track, and the track has 'swells' around the spike causing the most resistance when trying to remove. The pyramid bairly sinks in, and the christmas tree doesn't go into the track at all.
Fun fact of day: the most optimal bayonett shape is a pyramid shape also, because it is the easiest to pull out of someone. When you bayonett someone with a knife or cone 'needle' it is very hard to pull out of someone.

Lol there are only a handfull (literally you could probably count on 1 hand) of sprinting shoes that have a heel..., also you get a slight advantage from pyramids, not needles. Lastly needle spikes are slightly better for turns because they provide more traction. You need to dig a little bit harder with pyramids on turns...

Just from my experience...I run the 100, 200, and 400. It really depends on the experience and what sprints you do. If you have needles you will have more traction/grip in the curves, unless you are a straight up 100m sprinter then get neesles. If you only run straights or 100, go for pyramids daw.

Maybe if you are 150lbs and less. Otherwise needles tend to actually break off running turns proving their excessive stick to the track. I like needles for long jump. Also this isnt just my opinion but rather what i was taught by my running coach all through high school. He was an olympic runner for africa in the 90's.
