So this PT at my gym told me that if i consume too much protein, my body will not absorb it all, and the surplus will be stored as fat. To be honest i did not know this.
First of all is this true?
And how can you know how much is too much?

If you consume calories above your maintenance, your body will store them as fat. It does not matter if it is a surplus of carbs, fat, or protein. If the body gets more than it spends, it first converts the surplus nutrients to fat and stores them afterwards.
How much protein is too much? Difficult to say, a rule of thumb says 1g/lbs/day is enough to build muscle for almost every lifter. Most people will be fine with less, maybe 0.8g/lbs/day. Some athletes will need more, but if you consume more than 1.5g/lbs/day you are probably having too much protein in your diet.

ok so you're saying 1.5g/lbs/day is too much... but my circumstances maybe a bit different i'm about 155 right not (bulking) i lift a little over an hour a day, swim 1/2 mile or so, ruhn 5-7 miles a day, and walk alot at work.. so i eat 4,250-4,500 calories a day.. and my protein usually ends up being about 2g/lbs/day and am at about a 55carbs/25protein/20fat a day.. like yesterday i had about 650g carbs, 300g protein, and 105g fat... is this wayyyy to much or under the circumstances is it "acceptable"

OP - looking at your back, I'd wager a guess that whatever protein you're taking in is doing just FINE

This is a lifestyle to me. I like to look AND feel great 365 days a year. Give it 110% because at the end of the day you get out what you put into it.

lol hes in pretty sick condition.
I don't break my fast for 20 hours every day. There is nothing wrong with fasting over 8 hours or not. At the end of the day only energy balance matters. Unless you are an endurance athlete.

meal timing is irrelevant? ok thats the opposite of what ive been reading on this site for years now. So you are saying that eating every 3 hours is not what one should do? So if timming your meals is not important, what is? (apart from what you eat obviously)
Ok my bad, AlwaysTryin is a beast, as you say.....i have never seen him so....OG of BB.COM
