I've been out of work for one month. And the first week was fun. I needed to destress. I am actively looking now for a job, there's a few leads coming my way...so hopefully, before March, I'll have something. That is my goal.

There's work out there. It just might take a little longer to find the right fit ...in an economy such as this, right now.

Roxie didn't 'settle,' she sounds like she found a great gig.
Can't help but think that the media portrays things as this dismal hopeless situation. Shocking, right?

Well my heart goes out for people that are really trying to get a job...any job. If I was to orchestrate a perfect society we would all live by our deepest talents and we would be in synergy just because the sum of the parts is at least equal to the whole.

I've been at the same job for over 18 years. I consider myself very fortunate but its also why I tell people to look into trade schools. Being a plumber/pipefitter, I'm always "employable".

Right now Halifax NS is crying for trades people. Accommodations paid for and high hourly plus OT. I think trades people are less of a consideration than say computer programmers. However anytime a city is expanding they are in high demand. It is good honest work. Anyone that is prepped could make a killing in Halifax right now.
