Hi Lumiere!! I'm ANGRY with you. LOL Starting a journal and not even telling me. Well, I'm reading through your entire journal and figured when you said "Mum" you aren't from South Carolina. You're also on a ketogenic diet, which I read up on once and have nothing against, but honestly know too little about to comment. *sitting here munching on potato chips* LOL I see you've attracted some famous ketoheads, so you'll do fine following their advice.
I am going to Hawaii for Christmas
May I come along?
Oh, and happy 8th anniversary. Woohoo!
I think I've told you happy birthday. I hope so anyway, but when you approach senility, it's difficult to remember these things.
Let's see, what else. . . . babies!! I love babies!! Have lots of babies. LOL I can't tell you how clueless I was with my first baby -- Brittany. It was a learning experience for both of us and she doesn't seem to have come out any worse due to my inexperience. She's a sweetie and we're so close.
You're doing great in here and I'll start checking up on you more often.
Take care!

Saw "Chicken Little" and ate some popcorn. Prefered the popcorn over the movie. The reality of moving to a new city has finally sunk in. I hate reckless drivers! And... intereting enough, my glutes were acutally quite painful.

I felt stronger and better not having 2 weight days in a row. I could actually go on to do another set of DL with a heavier weight! Three different people at my gym have mentioned that I look bigger (Well they see me almost everyday in the gym) Training is going well I would say.
I have been really lazy in preparing my food Still eating according to the keto plan and now it seems I get better at managing the marco. Oh, I just bought 2 bottles of fish oil yesterday. I am so happy that I have finally finished off my flaxseed oil!
Had some problems with the new accomodation but it was solved at the end. Hope everything goes well... sigh... I am back to painkiller again... bad headache. It's the stress. I need a holiday by the seaside. I need indulgence! Had a funny dream in which I was riding a Harley Davidson What does it mean?Happy Thanksgiving!

I am having some troubles with the new place again... we need to drive over to sort it out. Today is supposed to be my leggie day and I hope I can find a place to do it! The hotel I am going to stay has a gym but the facility is very limited. I am thinking of a drop in at another gym nearby.
My weight still stay at 113lb. I took a good look at myself in the mirror last night and I really need more muscle on my glute and my shoulder and my back and my whole body! and why do I look so much better when I flex?
I am addicted to the internet at this moment... so a short absence would do me good...Happy Thanksgiving!

If you can look at yourself and say you need more muscle in certain places, you are doing great. Most of us look in the mirror and say "I need to gain more muscle all over AND lose a load of fat as well."
If the worst comes to the worst, you can do a leg workout at home, lots of body weight and single leg squats and lunges in different directions.65% fat, 30% protein, 5% carbs = keto.

Sorry I haven't been around much. I'm still having trouble finding the time that I'd "like" to put into the journals around here.
It looks like you've been doing very well on Keto. I definately agree with you. I always feel stronger when I take a rest or cardio day between my lifting days. My body needs the rest/repair from it. Even when you are not working one part, it typically gets worked in other exercises... just not primarily... so it doesn't have time to rest/grow/recuperate. Also... if you're trying to put on muscle "all over"... don't forget to get a FULL night's sleep every night. Broken or minimal sleep doesn't allow your body to release it's full potential of growth hormone... which has a key part in fat loss, muscle growth, and tissue repairwww.AOL scanner.com

Hi Lumiere! Sorry it's been a while since my last visit. I don't get email notifications for your journal for some reason. Anyway, sorry about the amonia smell. I used to get that sometimes, but haven't lately. It always made me think immediately, "I'm burning muscle," but someone told me that wasn't necessarily the case.
Here's a link to an article about it:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/ammonia.htm
I know you're doing keto, but you can have some carbs can't you? Or not? Anyway, the article suggests having a low glycemic carb with your preworkout meal.
Sorry about the troubles with the new place. If you want to visit the seaside, come see me! I have a beach house."For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7

We went to another city to catch "Harry Porter and the Goblet of Fire" and just planned to stay the night but something unpleasant happened that I just didn't want to stay on... I caught a 12 year old peeping tom in the ladies WC at the shopping mall!
What happened:
I went to the ladies after the movie and as I was in the cubicle for 30 seconds or so I saw a hand on the floor!!!! Initially I thought somebody felt sick so I leaned forward and took a look.. then I saw a face! I was so naive and thought he was a she because the face looked so young. Then I went over and realised what he was doing. I dragged him out of the WC and asked for assistance from the staffs at a nearby shop (I was grabbing his shirt collar) While we were waiting for the security to arrive, he said to me, "Can you not grab my shirt like this because it hurts, you can hold my hand instead."
What he said:
He said he was in the toilet because a bad guy chased after him. He couldn't tell us the height/race of this guy... but said that he was wearing a pair of glasses and a black top. (I was wearing a pair of glasses and a black top as well at that time)
What was dodgy:
* There were already some women in the WC when I went in, he didn't ask for help from this group of women. He could have asked for help from any of the shops.
*He had a handphone with him but he didn't use it.
*His parents own a furniture shop at the same mall but he didn't go there.
What's worst:
*Mother spent the whole time in denial. She said this was an unusual behaviour and that he was a straight As student blah blah blah and she spent a lot of time with him (Woman why did you leave him at a bookshop and let him wandering around?) For him to do such a thing something weird must have happened... and she spent the next 15mins in denial before giving me an apology. Still believing the son was innocent.
*No apology from the son nor the father.
*The father didn't say a word and just kept looking at his wife.
So there you go my weekend was completely ruined.

Eileen: Thank you for the kind words. I look at myself differently everytime when I look in the mirror... I think it has a lot to do with what mindset I am in that moment
MsH: LOL. I find it hard to read all the journals too... :embarassed: I usually visit the ones I post (Though I do not post very often but I do read) Thank you for reminding me about the sleep! I confess I haven't been good lately.

I have gotten myself a personal trainer in the gym for the next two months. We did chest 2 days ago and he really pushed me well... now I am pretty sore... but it is nice to have somebody helping you (spotting) especially at the last rep or two. I did things I couldn't have done without a training partner.
Foodwise I am still good... I am still keeping to my keto diet during the keto phrase. I might eat a bit more food for recovery though.Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving, Lumiere!!!
I caught a 12 year old peeping tom in the ladies WC at the shopping mall!
Good Lord! I'd have dragged him out of there by his ear and kicked him in the butt too. LOL Now, I've had little critters do that -- about 2 to 4 years old or so, when their mothers bring them in the restroom, but 12 years old is definitely too old to be hanging out in the womens restroom catching a peek. He may have future issues. Especially since he wasn't in a group of boys. Sometimes kids do prankish stuff at that age, but all by himself? Not good. Glad you reported him. Maybe it will scare him into behaving.
Your niece is soooo precious!!! I just love babies. She's a doll.
As for the trainer, if you want to train with lower reps, tell him. Anyway, I haven't done a CKD before, but I can imagine it might mess with that sort of workout."For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7

Thanks for the holiday greeting. I hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving. I was busy as a bee until I went to sleep.
I was sore for the holiday too. I "thought" I only had a light leg workout on Tuesday... but I guess it was better then I expected. I've had serious DOMS since Thursday morning... and still have them pretty strong. Waking up in the middle of the night to pee was fun, because without being awake and walking around, I was seriously stiff. I had to walk to the bathroom on my toes because my quads were in spasm. FELT GREAT !!!www.AOL scanner.com
