Will you start applying tan coats 3 days before the event or will you tap dream tan on the day of the event?

Last show I did I used Protan Thursday and Friday and did a thin layer of dream tan pre stage.
This time it's dream tan all the way. Several layers will do the trick. Protan jacked my skin up! Left me stained, dry, and cracked for weeks after
