So do people still use this device? I still think it's great but I haven't visited this thread in a while and it seems the overall view has turned sour.

I own one and use it daily, but I don't obsess over it like the other pussies who mentally masturbate over this and are scared to gain an gram of fat.

I still use mine, but I only check when I shower and use it only really to trend from previous days. I never really eat more or less based on a single day.

Its really helped me personally see how much desk jobs suck and how much NEAT matters. I was off for two weeks for the birth of my son and I was burning around 3500 calories running around doing laundry, cleaning, getting my wife things, taking care of my daughter (all while not lifting).

I'm back at work sitting on my ass all day and lifting again, and I'm burning around 2500.

    Interesting NEAT numbers for me:

18 holes of golf (Riding a cart) = ~800 calories
    10 games of bowling = ~500 calories
45min of weigh training (including heavy ass deadlifts) = ~300 calories

This is a helpful device. It helps ESTIMATE your total daily burn. It is usually more accurate than a standard internet formula, which is why it is popular. Jesus Christ. So much drama and bull**** from a piece of plastic. Use it if you want, base your calories on it if you want and move on.

I'm not sure what's worse: the people who obsess over it and ask 2,345 questions a day or the others who come into this thread or other threads in the Nutrition section and bash anyone who has one. I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I use it because of what this forum has made it into.
These^,Wow I haven't been in this thread for like maybe a week and it's gone to hell, anyone complaining or scared to follow it because they thing its wrong should just take it off and stop posting here. Sooooooo many of the same questions that can be answered by looking back a few pages. If I eat X when i was X b4 and now im gaining but I wanna cut does this mean the device is wrong? I eat X but I know its off by 10% does that mean its wrong? Should I start to eat X or should I slowly do it I dont wanna balloon. All been answered b4 unless your story is better do a search and stop creating traffic.

I burn more calories sleeping than I do at work. However, given how hot/humid it is on the eastern seaboard, I am thankful for this.

Same for me. The first ten days or so I had it, I was off work a lot and was averaging over 2300 calories a day. Now that I'm back to a more normal work schedule, I'm lucky to burn over 2100, even with going to the gym.

Has anyone who uses the device compared their burn rates while on an ECA stack vs normal?

I did one week on an ECA stack there did not seem to be a difference in the amount of calories burned vs. normal, but I didn't monitor everything very closely either. Wonder if anyone has made a comparison.

You don't have to monitor your calories eaten if your looking at the extra burn your trying to get some said stack. If you didn't see a difference in calories burned then that's your answer.

thats being a bit too obsessive imo. If you want to use ec stack, its great for appetite suppression, but for an extra burn? Its a minute difference

    quick question fellas,

I purchased the device from a friend a few days ago and he said that he bought it a month ago. I asked him if he still has the subscription but he says that go to the site, make an account, I should get 1 month free after which I start paying.

I am a little confused here.

When I go to this link and click "No",

    http://www.bodymedia.com/Purchased-Elsewhere#

what should I select after this? Thanks!

About 200 calories a day for me.

Once it gets a little cooler I'm going to start wearing it again and tracking better and I'll be sure to report back here.

That's not much at all IMO. If you can figure out (approximately) how much it is overestimating by, why can't you just compensate for it?

Always heard people say ECA increase metabolism. Was just saying I didn't notice a difference. Not sure how that qualifies as obsessive.

I haven't been able to upload to my MacBook since I got it a month ago. Yet I upload just fine on my dad's iMac. The IT guys are trying to figure out what's wrong but nothing yet.
