    Help me with this muscle

Okay, if you take your left hand and put it on your right shoulder so your thumb is over the shoulder bone, pointing backwards, what is the muscle the tips of your fingers will be gripping? Is that a tricep or delt? and more importantly, what exercise(s) will kick it in the face?

Sounds like you're describing the posterior (rear delt) to me. Face pulls, bent over rear delt raises, lying laterals on an incline, will all hit the rear delts pretty good. They also get hit from back work such as rowing, but not enough to fully develop them in my opinion.

I'm thinking it's the posterior deltoid too. The exercises aqua-beowulf mentioned are good ones to hit that muscle.

Attach a bar to the high pulley on a lat tower. Sit down lean slightly back, and pull the bar towards the face instead of chest. Brings the rear delts into play more.

Also, along with the medial delts and lats, helps promote the look of overall width.

The most important thing is to keep the elbows high, as this takes most of the lats out of the movement.

Think I may give these a try this week, just to switch things up. Is it best to use a wide grip on the long bar? Or could you just use a straight pressdown bar? Hmmm...a rope maybe too?

straight bar is sufficient. rope may be too awkward.
