What´s the healthiest way to cook sweet potatoes?

Is it true that they have 13g of sugar per oz? I´m confused as to what´s the best way to cook them so I can use it as one of my main sources of carbs.

    No.
An ounce averages 6 grams of CHO, of which of which 2 grams are derived from simple sugars.

The healthiest way to cook them would be to cook them while running and eating nutrient-rich whole foods.

Sweet potatoes are like Bubba Gump shrimp:

    Mashed
Sweet potato casserole w/pecan or walnut topping
    Sweet potato casserole w/marshmallow topping
Baked and topped with butter, brown sugar, honey, cinnamon, etc.
Sliced short ways and fried in a skillet
Baked into biscuits (one of my favorites).
Sliced longways and deep fried or baked to make french fries

    The list goes on....
    There is no spoon.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: For I am the baddest man in the valley.

You were pointed to the stickies, but I can tell you didn't read them. Try the IIFYM one to start.

If you want to eat 8 cups of sweet potatoes, have at it. But I can think of way more pleasant ways to "spend" 2000 calories. Why on earth would you just gorge on sweet potatoes?

well to be honest I haven´t even had any sweet potatoes in months I´m just estimating because I´m used to undereating and I´ve been calculating for days now how to hit maintenance and I´m still way below so I don´t wanna risk eating too much junk just to get there

What else are you eating? You can eat some "junk" to get there if most of your diet is good, whole foods-- just watch your calories and macros.

lean chicken breast, whole grain pasta (if I don´t eat sweet potatoes), fat free yogurt, fat free milk, fruit, nuts (planter´s energy mix) and I´ll ne adding some whey soon. I´m a linear kind of guy so I can have the same foods at the same time all week long as long as it leads to a cheat meal at the end of the week. 1 oz of sp is 180 cals and I need to consume 2800 lol

If you want help adding calories, ditch the fat free yoghurt and milk and go for the full fat option.

I cook those sweet potatoes in the microwave, it can't be faster than this:
stab it first with a fork a dozen times
put the potato in a bowl and cover it with plastic wrap
cook for 4-5 min depending on size (adjust if necessary)

    voila

I understand that you are trying to carb cycle (which is a method you can probably get rid of), but why the 100g difference in protein on high carb/low carb days?

    as cajun seasoned curly fries

    or parmesan encrusted roasted wedges

    or baked chips

    perhaps with a dipping sauce

or maybe twice-baked with toasted marshmallows

does a crunchy sweet potato casserole sound appetizing?

the loaded sweet potatoes are amazing

you can make some sweet potato bread
