Congrats to Stephan. Don't know what's up with your knee. I would advice you to rest your legs for a week and ice it during that period. I know you're not going to listen, but it was worth a shot.

Thank you!!!
I'm actually going to take that advice I thought I'd be ignorant like I was for the last few workouts, but now it hurts and burns and I'm scared I always had knee troubles like that, but it's never, EVER affected my workouts until recently. Probably bad form, I think my knees have been going out over my toes slightly when doing lunges and split squats. Though my mom, brother and aunt also have the same crackling knees..Owie!

Calories Eaten Yesterday- ??
Calories Burned yesterday- 2230
Yesterday was fun! I ate my normal meals for the first two, ate a creamsicle at Dad's house (only 70 calories!) and then we went out to town and Stephen bought me a really pretty watch for my birthday ( ) and then we went and I bought some groceries (I found some f.f cool whip on sale. ) And we went back to mom's and I had a normal sized piece of a single layer chocolate cake, some vanilla ice cream....and a can of tuna Had to have some protein to go with those carbs and fat!! Mom gave me some moneys and a fruity bottle of white wine
When we got back here I drank two 67 calorie beer while I was waiting for supper. Stephen's mom roasted a chicken and veggies, which I had a small plate of! And she gave me a wireless mouse for my laptop ( ) and a bottle of Champagne. And then we spent the evening relaxing because we we're pooped after all day. It was cold out, and I didn't want to go anywhere.
Oh, after supper I had some Hagen Daz cookies and cream ice cream because Stephen bought it (it was on sale) and I had never tried that ice cream before. It was alright, I think I like the cheaper stuff better though!!!
Anyways, I had a good day I'm sad I couldn't do my workout yesterday though. My knee burns. It feels inflammed. I made Stephen touch the crackling and it disturbed him really bad. It's mental. Anyways, lets see if I can convince him to do a power upper workout todayTeam Cookies Give You Superpowers

Calories Eaten Yesterday- 1593
Calories Burned Yesterday-2203
Well, this is the sixth week since my last rest week! That's a record! Although- my knees were aching on my hike yesterday, and my shoulder joints have been aching for the past three days now. I really want to do my power upper workout, but at the same time I'm thinking about taking a rest week to heal up a bit.
Though I hate not working out on exam days because I find I'm just waiting around all day until I have to leave and it's boring. I have three this week. Hrm. Anyways, workout may happen! We'll see. Stephen was complaining the last few workouts because his performance went down, so he's not really too excited about working out.
On another note though- I reached some short term lifting goals I didn't really think I had! I finally got the 40lb d.b's up on an incline, doing 100lbs for reps for bench, and using the 30's for shoulder presses. I'm almost at 200lbs for deadlifting for working sets, but not quite. I'm happy though!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

lol!
It's really pretty. It silver, and a Timex watch- it has a mother of pearl face on it and it shines blue/green and pink and it has indiglo! Really nice, I love it.
Thanks, I have a touch of that going on as well, I think we're both getting burnt out
I didn't have any, but I knew I wanted to get those dumbbells up, and get to/past 100lbs. I barely did it, but I'm happy with thatTeam Cookies Give You Superpowers

Grr, I am so fed up with everything today. We tried to do a workout. Stephen usually gets 160-165 for working sets. He threw on 160 and got it once. He was angry. So I threw 100 on the bar and got it once. I was angry. We both quit.
Then we got ready to go to town and buy some dressy clothes. Well. I couldn't find one pretty, fashionable blouse in the whole damn ******** mall. I hate the stores around here, they blow. And I was hungry and annoyed so I ate Mr. Sub and drank a skim milk. There goes most of my calories for the day. I didn't care- I didn't have many options. With exams coming up, interviews/clothes shopping which I hate, bad workouts/injuries and calorie restriction- I'm sick of it all now.
After 9 weeks of dieting, I'm ready for a sanity break. I seriously- despite what anyone says- counted and met my calorie goals from the beginning except for a few days at maintenance. I know my bodymedia is right because I was maintaining on what I am burning now. I was steadily losing until a few weeks ago. I was 123.8lbs, and now I've been stuck at 124 for weeks, and I've been being good.
I don't think this has anything to do with me being off- I think it's a combination of stress, intestinal issues, and water weight. I am taking a diet break, and I can guarentee I'll drop a few pounds after. I've never dieting for such a long time before- I usually go 4-5 weeks, and then break for one week. I'm going that route again.
I'm also taking a week off training to let my body heal up. I'm frustrated. I'm tired and I suck, but I don't care. I'm doing what I think I should do. I always did, for the most part, and I always reach my goals so I don't think this will be any different. I will lean out- I know I will. Having a day of maintenance eating once a week will not harm weightloss in the long run, and neither will a cheat meal once a week. I've done it before, and it didn't hinder me then. Anyways- Rant over. (I'm also pms'ing right now- so I'm sorry for the angry post- I'll probably be happier tomorrow)Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

{hugs} I had one of those day Friday and those days blow. I think listening to your body is a good idea, rest heal up and focus on school and interview, lower stress and you'll be good as new In Alan Aragons words of the wise he states that you can take advice all day but it comes down to what works for you

Thanks!! Hahaha! I was such a crank. I just don't know what to do- I don't have time this week to pick anything up to wear and I don't even know where I'd go to buy it. I'm meeting with a successful business man- Stephen has a new pair of dress pants and a shirt, and I'm going to look stupid
That' an awesome quote, and I thank you for it- it made me feel less crazy yesterday
Anyways, it's not that I don't appreciate everyone's advice, it's just that I need to learn to do what's right for me, and what I want. I need to stop putting so much stock into what others think I should do, when they're not me and don't see what I do/eat everyday, and stuff, you know? I take everything too seriously sometimes and care what everyone thinks too much. I really need to stop that.
You know I've been freezing cold for over a week now? Like- purple extremeties/lips, all day long. Can't wear enough clothes/blankets and it's not even that cold here. Stephen's always like "What? you're cold??" I was never like that. That could be a sign of decreased leptin, and even that's not the cause- I wasn't like it before. I have totally stalled out, and I'm not getting anywhere. A break is what I think I need, but I wasn't taking one because I thought everyone would think I wasn't disciplined enough and that I'd never get to where I want to be if I take a small break. But I know it's not true. Journalling is so annoying like that sometimes.
I think it's so pretty! I'll take a picute of it later and post it!!!
Thank you!! It sucks when that happens. It was gradual though. 1st workout I got 100lbs 4 times. 2nd workout I got it 3 times. Yesterday I got it once, and I was trying as hard as I could to get that rep. It was badTeam Cookies Give You Superpowers

i don't know if it was the pms talking or if you're really gonna do it, but i vote for doing it. you're right that it's figuring out what you need and what works best for your body, and no one knows that better than you. and you've been through this before. cutting will always suck, but it doesn't have to be so painful and stressful and it sounds like your body needs a break. plus, aren't you studying for exams now? seems like an even better reason for the break in dieting, at least. try maintenance for better fuel. and you don't suck at all. not even close.
bday sounds great, and what a nice gift from stephen. yay for that.

Haha! Thanks
Yes, I'm really taking a break this time- I know I need it. I can't concentrate in the mornings through the hunger, and that's when we study the most. And I just feel stressed in general, so I don't need any un-necessary additional stress on top of that, so taking a break feels right. And you are right- I have been through this before.
I like Charli's method- she dieted for 4 weeks, took a small break, and repeated the process. Less painful that way, and just as effective, so why torture yourself when you don't need to? When I go back to it, I'll be tired of eating at maintenance and tired of enjoying myself, and I'll be totally ready to start dieting and training like a maniac I'll make more progress that way.
I might even make it more fun and make up a new meal plan with 1400 calories and eat at maintenance on the weekends to make diet adherance through the week a lot less aggrivating. That way I'll still be in enough of a deficit, but be able to enjoy more foods somedays. I think what's bugging me the most is how I've got my meals set up- they're the same day in and day out. No room for small treats.
And I like having fun. The diet I am doing now is not fun. UD2 was way funner! Torturous during the week, but I do like having something to look forward to at the end, you know? If I could say- If I'm good all week, I can have a treat on the weekend- I'd enjoy it all much more Not that I don't have maintenance days, but they're always unplanned and make me feel guilty for some reason. Well- no more! I'm coming up with the ultimate plan- FOR ME

Thanks! They'll be all over anyways before the weekend, and I am going to be celebrating then so I don't want to be restrictive. I will count and I won't go over maintenance calories, but I do want some leeway. I'm tired of staying in on the weekends because I'm tired, cranky, hungry and have no calories left for staying up late. I just want to relax and enjoy things, just for this weekend. I'm so stressed. Once exams/school/weekend are over, I'll be rearing to get back to it. I'm super excited already

I like the weekends to be different. It gets boring when every single day is he exact same. A different meal, a beer or two, that's all I ask I might go 1400 all week and 2000 on the weekends. That averages out to be 1571 calories a week. At least then I can have a treat or two. I might not set it up like this, I may have one really high day or something, but so that the average is still anywhere from 1550-1600, you know?
Thank you! And oh how I cannot wait to relax for once- I am SOOOOO sick of STUDYING!!!! ARGRGGG!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers
