All the calculators ive found are based on maintenance calories, then from there you either add 300-500 to bulk or subtract 300-500 to cut
Ive never counted calories, I count the grams of protein, carbs and fat I have per day. is this not the best way to calculate things?
uhh I hate math, if it's not how do I translate everything into calories?

the way I do it is I write down the calories and all the macronutrients in everything I eat, then at the end of the day I use those conversions to find the percent of each macronutrient I ate that day.If you've never been lean, you're not bulking. You're just fat.

I suggest counting calories at least until you get to know what works well for your body. Once you learn your body you will find its not neccessary to count calories unless you really want to maximize your results.
Cutting - 6' 3" - 28 yrs
Jan 10th - 219 lbs (end of winter dirty bulk)
July 30th - 192lbs - Approx 9% bf

I don't count my calories persay but I take mental note of how much is in everything I eat and now I've come to know pretty much how much is in what I'm eating, since I eat pretty much the same thing everyday. I guess it would be better to write down everything but for now I just keep all my portions the same and I'm decently consistent.

I just don't like stuff like fitday. I dunno why. Lots of people do. I just prefer to write every down by hand. More out of habit than anything else. I've always had trouble sticking with it when I do it on the computer. If you've never been lean, you're not bulking. You're just fat.
