there are fish that can do both, lung tissue and gill tissue do basically the same thing. They just provide surface area for the exchange of gases between the bloodstream and the atmosphere. Whether that atmosphere is water with dissolved oxygen, or gas containing oxygen really isn't as big a difference as it may sound. There are huge advantages to getting out of the ocean, lack of competition being one. The first animals to live on land had basically the entire earth's landmass to eat and breed, with little competition. Compared to the ocean which was becoming increasingly populated with well developed predators.

What's amusing is that plenty of people who are Evolutionists can hold the concurrent belief in God.

However, those who oppose it fail to use any type of rationale. The evidence is devastating if you would would just get some scientific education. Do you people honestly think we've been able to apply the scientific method to physics, but biology just dropped the ball?
