What's the advantages to taking a muti such opti men, orange triad etc. over something OTC such as a centrum or whatever ?

Here is a good study to use as a guide in deciding which multi to take.

The brands looked at is not an all-inclusive list, but the criteria used is explained well. Using this criteria is how I came to a decision on which one I wanted to take. Once I read this study I understood what forms of certain vitamins or minerals have better bioavalability, as well as what types and amounts of vitamins and minerals should be included.

multivitamins are OTC. OTC means you don't need a prescription. Centrum (or "OTC multis") has been formulated for the general public. Orange triad and anavite have been formulated for athletes/bbers.
