BCAA should help with muscle breakdown but as long as your eating about immediately to 30 minutes after cardio, you should be good. I take estrogen blocker (Inhibit-E) to also help with muscle breakdown, seeing as how I'm gonna be in Africa for 2 months..To give you an idea, I've been taking the inhibit-E after a cycle and I'm actually maintaining my muscle, if not gaining muscle. I'm currently cutting, as I'm guessing you are and I think this is helping me ...
ALSO Try Dymatize Recoup... For the amount of BCAA's, I think its the greatest value( Go to vitaminshoppe and ask for web price) ... It also tastes like heaven!

Both of those are fine. If you don't want to carry a drink with you on your run, get the pills. You'll have to take a lot of them at once but then you won't have to bring a bottle with you. If you're running on a treadmill or something where you can put a bottle down then go with something like Xtend or Purple Wraath - bulk powders taste terrible.

I personally believe that powder absorbs vaster but its just me . I walk on a 10% incline at 3MPH for 20 minutes and it seems to work for me right now... Put it this way. I was at 152 lbs in September .. started a gain cycle.. ended up being 177 in January. I believe I have not lost any muscle since my cutting phase .. Idk why but I believe that running cuts muscle for some reason.. I feel like I should keep my heart-rate at around 130 for optimal fatburn.
ALSO (updated) I think you should start with 5 grams before workout and 5 immediately after.
