Ok, but what if cockroaches were cool to someone else but dogs and cats were nasty? It's all a matter of perspective. Your argument isn't any better than Hartski's.

I have. It's not a pretty site, but they kill the cows as quickly and painlessly as humanly possible. They shove a steel rod through their ears peircing the brain then slit their throat to bleed them. They do not pound their heads over and over with a hamer until they are dead.

Not trying to be an ass, but I think that one hit with a hammer to the head would be sufficient to kill a kitten.

What is with this 5 year old crap? Who mentioned five year olds?

Either way, it happens a lot more to animals because people can get away with it. People tend to notice when you send your kid to school with welts and bruises all over their bodies.

If that were the norm it would be fine, but you don't slaughter animals by beating them to death with a hammer. Besides, western society does not consume cats and dogs for food.

Ferral cats are also major health concerns. It is legal in a few states to shoot ferral cats. Look it up. They are actually trying to pass a law in North Dakota right now.

I am going to have to disagree with you on this one. A bolt to the head of a cow is painless and instant death. But smashing the skull of an animal wouldn't be a painless and instant death? I think they would be pretty much the same. I'm not trying to flame, just discussing.

I like how you all keep trying to twist it around to make it seem like abusing animals is okay. Face the facts, you are all ****ed up in the head.

    Question

But I figure that if an animal wanted to throw rocks at me, I wouldn't care as long as they didn't injure me. It might hurt, but that's only pain. That's why I would still throw a rock at a duck.

    o_O[/QUOTE]

you say you have less regard for animals than humans, then you say , if an animal threw rocks at you, you would'nt mind!?!

so i guess as a human, any one of us could throw rocks at you with impunity?

I think we are arguing to different things here! Let's just say that I agree with you about animal cruelty, I think it sucks. And torturing anything animal, insect, whatever is pretty screwed up! Can we still be friends! lol

Beating a kitten with a hammer would not cause an instant death. Putting a bolt through the head of a cow does cause instant death. There is a major difference.

No, I don't abuse animals. I only beat up 5 year olds, because I can justify that by saying that they know whats going on.

Ok, so if you took a sledgehammer and hit a kitten directly in the head as hard as you could you don't think that would cause instant death? I sure do. A kittens bones are very soft yet, just like a baby.

No it wouldn't. The death would be from hemmoraging which would NOT be instantaneous. It's unjustifiable anyway because people in the western world to not eat cats and dogs for food.

Yeah thats a pretty lame arguement. A bolt through the brain would cause instant death, but a completely smashed brain wouldn't.

I can't believe you guys are trying to argue. Ferrel cats........great if they become a health hazard in your area and it's legal to shoot them to control the population, I have no problem with that. That is alot diferent than hitting kitties with a sledgehammer......they only objective to that is just to satisfy your own sickness.

And to Dre9, you are just playing devils advocate. I'm sure their are those that love cockroaches. But not many. Go ahead and take a poll. You will not find but a few and most everyone will agree that cockroaches are vile disgusting creatures that deserve to be squashed.

So that makes it right? What are you some kind of racist? If you eat cats and dogs, that makes you f*cked up in the head?

I can't believe we are arguing about this. I'm going home. But just for the record I still think the kitten would die instantly from the fact that it's whole head and brain was just crushed by a SLEDGEHAMMER!
