I need a bigger MP3 player as I get a little bored with my music after a little while....
What songs/bands/or type of music do you ladies listen to when working out?
Me, I have a lot of the top trance/dance DJ's on my list. And a little heavy stuff like God Smack, NIN, Ministry, and KMFDM for lifting.

I'm a big fan of lifting to Bloodhound Gang, and I'm going through a Bush and Fergie phase at the moment.

Orgy! The only band I listen to! (no the name has no sexual reference). I'm in love with the lead singer, Jay Gordon. Its seriously the only playlist I ever listen to in the gym and I never get sick of it.

I listen to heavy stuff like Mudvayne, Static-x, Seether...but when doing cardio, I like Fergie, Pink, Avril Lavigne...anything with a jumpy beat.

All metal... Dragonforce, Maiden, Metallica, Finntroll, Therion, Rammstein, Megaherz, you name 'em I got 'em... well, bar death metal, just too boring.
I discovered a nasty cardio: put Dream Theater on and run by the drum. Exhaustion warranted!__________________

I like techno music to do cardio, but I also like to listen to old school rap (no porfanity of degrading of women!), and any music with a fast beat. I don't have an MP3 player (finances, not currently working), but I have a great techno CD titled "Taste of Chicago."

I mostly (only?) listen to punk & similar music in the gym - currently my mp3 player has Bad Religion, Dropkick Murphys, Less than Jake, Motion City Soundtrack, Bouncing Souls, Antiflag, Rise Against, H2O ...

Wow thats cool that a lot of women on here also listen to heavy metal type music, didnt think that was common! Those of you that do should listen to some Orgy songs, you will not be sorry! Orgy is classified as industrial/death pop/metal and (to turbulentfluid) they were on a tour with rammstein back in 98 (family values tour).
the best songs are:
blue monday (this was all over the radio back in 98)
revival
opticon
eyes-radio-lies
stitches
suckerface
fiction (dreams in digital)
107
saving faces
chasing sirens
Wheres Gerald
dissention
fetisha
Pantomime
Fiend
gender
beautiful disgrace
Ashamed
Leave me out
inside my head
Pure
Can't take this
yeah I know thats like a ton of songs but not even all of them (I like every single song they ever made except one...thats never happened before for me for any other band). Orgy is highly UNDERRATED in my opinion.

LOL i know i need help!!! But def download some of those songs, they are amazing!! You should see my room, I basically have a shrine to Jay Gordon (the lead singer) including his autograph (which is basically my most treasured possession?!!).
and the "jg" in my name has nothing to do with MY real name.

haha Yup jg = jay gordon. Right now he's actually singing for a new band since Orgy is kinda dormant as of now (last album was 2004). The new band's first cd is supposed to come out in 2 months and they are called Machine Gun Orchestra. There's a preview of the first song (sung by jay) on you tube here:
