at age 13 should you do a split or a full body? I have been working out on and off for about a year though. thanks.

At 13 I dunno if I would be doing a split. I would circuit train to get your strength going before really hitting weights hard. Hitting weights to hard at an early age could affect your growth plates. I would suggest circuit training just to get your overall strength up and in like a year or two, start doing more intense workouts with a split.

IMO, it depends on what experience you gained in the year you lifted "on and off".
If you have a good grasp of the exercises and the proper form, then a split would probably be a good idea, provided you lifted regularly.
If you still lift only now and then, I would stick with the full body routine.You gotta love how sports will f*ck with ya, make you believe you can come back from an insurmountable deficit and then get kicked right in the nuts when you're almost there - Bluntdogg
