My favorite lifting moment ever was on 4/3/2008 when I suqatted 405x5
It was the first time I had ever done it. The last 4 of them were grinders, I thought I would fail on each of them
I had never felt so happy after a lift, it was the biggest 'all my hard work has finally paid off' moment for me ever.

So far, probably the first time I hit 185kg(407lbs) Deadlift. I just loaded it up by chance and nailed it. That felt very cool.
The other week's squat 5RM at 90%+ of my max was a contender too. Like in your post, I seriously thought every rep after the second was going to be the time I got stapled, but I just kept pushing my luck and came out completely shagged.
I was grinning when I took a knee afterwards thoughKoyongi: I am going to accomplish this by following a haphazard training system, and forging elite fitness.

My first ever 230kg/507lbs deadlift, which came at my second comp in april '09. My 2 goals for months before that meet were a 500lbs DL and a 1100lbs total, and I secured them both with my final lift

Benching 135 for the first time. I attempted it so many times and couldn't get it barely an inch off my chest. I was getting rep PRs with other poundages but 135 remained impossible. So one day, after trying it a couple times and failing per usual, I just said to myself "I'm not going to be a pussy btch anymore" and then I got it. BIG visual and mental goal. After that all 3 lifts really took off. I've hit PRs since then but I don't think anything will ever feel as good as that 135.
The only thing worse than having a bad plan, is having no plan.
If you're doing it right, it never gets any easier.
