I honestly feel sorry for him; although many people won't feel an ounce of sympathy for him. For those of you who do, I totally understand as to why you would because I am big on accountability.

Same with Michael Jackson... when he was still alive I remember hearing about how he was having financial troubles. He could've sold his amusement park or some property and establish millions in cash.
The house in chicago with 10 bathrooms and an indoor court, as well as his watch collection could get him out of this. But damn... how embarrassing.

Exactly. This casino stuff just happened not too long ago. Its not like you wake up one morning and realize you are in $4 million dollar debt. Its been a storm coming.
Besides I remember early this year watching him on pros vs. joes. I knew he had to be in trouble with money then to work for little money on a show like that. Shawn Kemp comes to mind also on that show.

its not $10, i think its $4mil, but he was charged with check fraud for writing six-figure checks and having them all bounce at a casino in vegas
i dont feel bad for him at all, especially when hes wearing $100k watches and driving his $300k bentley
yeah he helped out his mom and flew his family/friends to games, but that doesn't undermine the fact that he blew through 50mil in 10 years and has nothing leftGaspari Nutrition Rep and Overall BAMF

People are naive to think that more money means less of a chance of going in debt. The fact is that if you don't learn how to budget and spend wisely you will find a way to get yourself into trouble no matter how much you make. Rich people don't just get rich (maybe besides the lotto, etc.), they have made wise decisions that got them there. My exs dad was a millionaire, but he knew where every dollar of his was going and what for. You could be his son and ask for $5 and he would ask you what you need it for. I really think that money starts to become an addiction, almost therapeutic for some. We were reading about a guy last year who dealt in junk bonds, made $500,000,000/yr. as an annual salary, but is in jail for 10 years now for some serious frauds. It truly becomes a sickness.

I dont feel sorry one bit, not for any over paid athlete at all. I can support my wife and kid soon to be kids on barely 40 grand a yr.
these ****ers cant do it on millions.
no one told you that you needed 62 bed rooms or 14 diff cars. No one said you needed a spot on y0 mtv cribs
i dont care how much charity you give away it dont mean **** if you struggle in life on 110 million
the biggest problem is half these kids study ball room dancing in college and never get any common sense and run to the pros. even worse is basketball and mlb where you can be a baby right out of highschool and make bank.
i feel no sympothy and would much rather point and laugh my ass off at you needing hand outs because you pissed away the amount that 99% of the us population will never see in a life time.
If I had 1 million I would never have to work again in my life.
it starts with no brains, and being an idiot
**** pay me the league minimum nfl contract to be a tackling dummy for a few months a yr. Id do it once maybe twice and be set. done.

I admit I have always had a soft spot for 'Toine he was my favorite player on some strangely lovable Celtics teams and he always seemed like a nice guy, no matter how stupid these guys may be I always feel sorry for people who lose everything.
you can boast about anything if it?s all you have. Maybe the less you have, the more you are required to boast.

Agree. The problem, though, is that once a person becomes wealthy, it is hard to know how many of those he/she surrounds himself/herself with (or that surround him/her) are genuinely interested in helping him/her perpetuate his/her wealth, as opposed to seeking to maximize the benefits they extract from him/her before the wealth dries up.
