    Exercises to improve vertical Jump

As the title says, i want to know what people use for exercises to improve vertical jump. Not like plyometric exercises, but weight exercises like Squats, calf raises etc.

    Thanks in advance!

You probably don't want to hear it, but plyometrics work GREAT for improving your vertical. Explosiveness is the key to a good vertical jump. You need power and speed. Essentially, you want to make the transition from dorsiflexion to plantarflexion as quickly as possible. Having more muscle helps, but if you're not doing the correct exercises you can actually make it worse.
