We are just getting to our winter in South Africa and were I live its generally hot and humid 30 Deg cel and above when I train, come winter it drops to about 15 Deg cel when I do my training. Is this the reason for my cold feet I have not had this happen during previous winters?
What I have noticed is after I have done my squats and say half way through my bench press my feet start to feel cold, the rest of my body is hot and I am sweating like I normally do, the first thing that came to my mind was blood pressure, I did feel the cold a bit more than normal yesterday or am I just getting old. mmmmmmmmmmm?
The other day I had my annual medical and my blood pressure was 120/70 heart rate 65 bpm, when I get up of a morning my heart beat at rest is about 55 bpm.
The cold feed thing has also started to happen when I cycle for about 30 min or more, other than that my feet never feel cold and within 30 min of stopping training they are back to normal.
I do not wear socks or training shoes during my training and I normally do not wear anything on my feet at home.
Any thoughts

He said....
That usually indicates blood work is done too.
The reason I said he needs to wear his shoes is during cycling and benching he's not going to be getting as much circulation in his feet as he would squatting. He said he's heading into winter weather and common sense would indicate wearing shoes while he's doing those things.
I've noticed during the winter months, while sitting at my computer my feet get cold even if I'm warm everywhere else. Even with a rug in front of my desk it's not enough, so I put on shoes, just makes sense to me.

XX400EX They did check my blood and urine etc everything was fine.
LogPressing you hit it on the head try shoes, why didn?t I think of that!! If my feet stay warm with shoes on then it?s just the winter weather if not then I will get into it a bit more. I will see what happens tonight.
I think my brain is freezing.
Thanks

If your feet are cold all the time, it could be something as serious as arteriosclerosis and your extremities are not getting ample blood supply and oxygen. (This is not checked by blood pressure, but by an O2 test at the feet.)
If its just during training legs, it might be something as simple as the fact that most of your body's blood is staying in your legs to help with the load being placed on them.kathyfit

Hi Everybody,
Did my cardio last night with training shoes on feet felt ok bit uncomfortable with the sweat but they were warmer, it seems like it may have just been the weather and age, I will look into the O2 test at the feet when I speak to my doctor, it sounds like a combination of age, weather and blood being used in other parts of the body may be the issue.
If I find out any more I will post the results.
Any reasons why I should not continue training without wearing any training shoes? all I have to do is to put up with cold feet.
Thanks
