I'm up pretty late tonight writing an English paper and I'm wondering if it's better to stay at your calorie limit if you've already used them up for the day
.. or to throw in an extra couple hundred cals of slow digesting protein/fat even though you'd be over your calorie limit?

Agree with both posts above. When you are awake you are consuming more calories than when you are inactive (asleep). A small meal to fuel you would be good, just watch out for the carbs since it is late at night and your insulin sensitivity is low.

I mean definately if you're hungry or feeling fed up/ tired then eat man, i mean if you really over do it (extra 400 calories this day) then you can substitute those calories next day, like eating 400 less then next day, so over the two days the average calories per day is still at your cutting level.
