My younger cousin is getting interested in weightlifting just because he sees how big that I have gotten.
I've heard a lot about lifting too early and possibly causing injury, should I have him stick to body weight exercises or is he old enough to be using weights.
Thanks kneegrows

I noticed that when i went from body weight stuff to free weights (i was 12) that they were way harder to lift than i had thought, i had been doing minute planks and side planks (both sides) plus 120 sit ups every night. I'm not sure if the every night thing was good or bad or whatnot but i pushed through how different it was but if i did it again i would go with the weighted vests to make the body weight stuff harder so that when your ready for the free weights you can nail them in a day.
