    What's your blood pressure/ pulse?

Went to the doctor today...My pulse is 64 and blood pressure 98/ 50. Anyone know anything about these numbers? I forgot to ask my doctor if they were fine lol. I'm sure he would have mentioned them if they were otherwise though

I LOL when I see "high" pulses like that since I've been accused of being almost dead before - ~40 bpm (you're fine btw)

yeah i dont think pulse is anything to worry about unless its unusually high or low due to weight change.

actually ive heard that EXTREMELY well condition endurance athletes (think bikers) may have higher heartrates than you would think

Got a checkup a few weeks ago.

    Pulse: 48
    BP: 112/66

OP your BP sounds really low, but I'm sure if there was a problem they would've told you.

They want you to shoot for 120/80 or lower now so like someone said the doc would have mentioned something if it was bad. Yours is low because your body is efficently working.

I sit around 50 beats per minute resting with around a 104/70 BP.

120/80 is now generally considered to be pre-hypertensive. 110/70 is closer to normal.

mine is generally pretty low... 100/50 is usually where I am sitting. I know it sounds low, but I have checked it multiple times and it is always in that range. I am going to the doctor tomorrow so I will have it checked again.

That's creepy I actually went today too and got almost the exact same BP (I think mine was like 92/60 or something); the doc said those were great numbers to have so I think unless you're either really huge or really small you're probably pretty healthy (I'm 6'4" 185 for comparison.)

sorry, i didnt mean all of them, but a professor at my school who does research on VO2 max was saying that some cyclists and endurance athletes have higher heartrates than you would expect.

i think i just worded that wrong

The guidelines were recently revised to 110/70. 120/80 is now defined as prehypertension.
