When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

I kept this thread going for other parents to share experiences - especially fathers, as we don't always have an outlet to be honest about what we're going through. We're talking about our second already, but the first still gulps down entire breasts full of milk so we'll wait a bit longer
Congratulations man - wasn't aware you were expecting.
The experience is different for everyone. The lack of sleep negatively affected me a lot at the start, but other brehs I knew (especially ones who didn't sleep much anyway) didn't seem too bothered by it.
Some parents start formula from birth - babies sleep longer with that, but we have only done breast feeding. No pump/bottles, nothing - just directly from her mom's breast. Not everyone goes the same path here, but we're very happy we chose ours.

My wife is at 5 months. We did check, it's a boy. Not that it matters, any child that's healthy and happy is a blessing. It's funny because every woman I have spoken with prefers boys, even my wife.
That's what I've been saying, It can't be that hard if everyone and their mother has done it. We still have time, but I'll look into that diaper brand. When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sounds great! I can recommend a book called 'The Fourth Trimester' if you're interested. We had an awesome (Irish) midwife too.
Yeah I get that. My wife had been considering pumping around then but then our little one really started chugging. She's in the 96th percentile for growth - it's weird when other parents think she's so much older than she is given her height.

Mirin dude, I’m not looking forward to the newborn stage. Things got so much easier once little man could actually do stuff so I knew how to play with him. I was never really around babies and all either though so maybe that had something to do with it.
We’ve got our midwife appointment today. God willing little miss actually grew (she stalled our last appointment two weeks ago,) if not things may get pretty sketchy.
Pulling for all of my fellow dads!Sloots Gon Sloot.

How many weeks? This is pretty normal, the measurements are extremely inaccurate, and often all the way to birth. They will tell you your baby is 5 pounds and it comes out 6 pounds literally several hours later, so don’t panic, but it’s very important for your wife to eat red meat unless she absolutely hates it, drink lots of water, and you can give her creatine, it makes the babies grow, they come out smarter, the pregnancy is easier, the research is overwhelming on this, personally if I had a fear that the child is not getting big enough during pregnancy. I would absolutely give my wife creatine.
Obviously try to carry to full term, don’t let your wife use Primrose evening, oil, or any of that other stuff that makes babies come out earlier, but if it comes out a little bit on the small side, that may actually be a good thing, it will protect your wife’s pussy and sanity. Immediately begin aggressive breast-feeding, and the baby will fatten up real quick, so no worries, been there/done that/got the T-shirt.

Appreciate it bud! 34 weeks, 35 will be Friday. Shes been measuring a week behind from the jump so they weren’t really worried until the stall. My wife has always been tiny and started out underweight as far as bmi goes. She’s been focusing on more small meals since her stomach is getting smushed lol.
And our plan is to go the same route as with our son which was 100% natural. Only “interference” with him was a membrane sweep at I wanna say 41 weeks and then he was born the next day.Sloots Gon Sloot.

Sounds like you’ll be fine! From what you said. Like that your wife is tiny. Don’t worry. Babies grow in spurs. Next scan she’ll get bigger. Tell them no Doppler please. Less ultrasounds is better. No color images or any of that. And no fluid check. They puncture the sack and take a sample. Bad idea! Can trigger early labor. Basically doing less is good.

Yessir you called it, she grew again. And agreed man, our son was born naturally at a birth center. That’s the plan with our daughter too, she did get an extra ultrasound on once the limb difference was spotted just to ensure there weren’t any other issues. Luckily everything else looked good.
