nah jogging is.
I jog 4 miles and do 100m sprints every other day.
walking is too low intensity.
When you're getting ur chit pushed in, its not going to be at a low intensity level.Last edited by theory816; 04-26-2024 at 02:26 PM.

Its the best form of exercise, they did countless studies on this. Intense exercise like high intensity is the worst for longevity it also and causes your hormones to go out of wack, but moderate consistent exercise like walking or speed walking daily and stretching or calisthenics is the best for overall healthy, joints, and longevity

I worried about running around on pavement with my joints at my size so when I got laid off 10 years ago I would do a lot of walking with like a 20 lb weight in my in backpack. I would do like really fast walking after fasting on eca, I was insanely ripped at the time
If you do speedwalking but don't swing your arms like a pussy and just put like 20 lbs in a backpack rather than wearing a weighted vest..it's good exercise and you don't look like a doofus

no doubt the AUTOMOBILE Industry opposition to USA enjoying a FIRST WORLD PUBLIC TRANSPORT system contributed to the USA OBESITY Epidemic.
Just look at rural/suburban townies compared to cosmopolitan urbanites....the rural/suburban townies have a lot more FATTIES while the cosmopolitans are generally trimmer due to their urban WALKING lifestyle as compare to the rural/suburban townies who are much more dependent on the automobile

Yes, as long as you are pushing or pulling something. Preferably uphill.

I'll be honest with you OP, I found walking best after a meal. For example, when I eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I always do a 10-minute brisk walk after each meal. I feel like it helps with digestion. I got the idea from Stan Efferding.

I think step count is legit and underrated, but jogging/running is obviously better. Jogging/running helps you get that heart rate up and swiften the pace of getting the step count up, but it also adds a bit of a calories burning multiplier due to the intensity.
If all you did was get 10k steps or more a day, no jogging/running, you would likely burn about 500 Calories a day, srs if you're around 180 lbs. If you're 180 lbs, running for 10k steps worth (5 miles) at a pace of 10 minutes a mile, you'll burn about 850 Calories by the time you reach 10k steps. So the difference is roughly 70% more Calories burning. Not factoring any incline or anything.
It doesn't have to be all or nothing though IMO. Might as well get like 7.5k steps from walking, 2.5k steps (1.25 miles) from running. Or some other ratio.i7-14700k
