Just inherited my great great grandmother’s piano (pics) (neat)

Chickering Spinet Upright Piano. Serial number dates it at 1865. Been continuously tuned and maintained through its life. Piano is mahogany with elephant ivory keys:

Grew up with a baby grand in my Grand parents house we weren't even allowed to look at. Now, my oldest two are taking lessons on that very piano. Funny how that works lol

You can get those for free on FB marketplace. People just don't want to pay for the removal of them and giving them away is easier as a result.

ugh tell me about it. My grandmother electric organ it still sitting in the house she lived in. Its heavy as phuck, and you can't just rough it around to move it because the legs are brittle. Whether I decide to sell the house or rent it, the Organ is staying right where it is as a pre-furnishment.

If I absolutely had to get rid of the one that was passed down to me, i'd donate it to a local church. They're always looking for pianos (its a nice tax write-off too).
