Surprised they wouldn't just buy one. Crown Vics were mass produced forever and used in cop and taxi fleets. They're plentiful and sell for a dime a dozen.

Fast, cheap, sporty looking would be my guess. I used to want a mustang at one point. Practical side of my brain took over and I ended up in a Honda.

Damn this is pretty spot on. I’m from an area with more Puerto Ricans than any Hispanic group and I would say theirs would be a modded ‘99 Civic. Thought Mexicans would be similar but maybe not.

You can trace 90% of what they do (at least the type that you are referring to) to rap music. They base their entire lives around what they see rappers doing. Most likely, at some point in time Ford and Dodge paid a rapper or gave them a free vehicle to promote it. Now every urban youth in the country wants one.
