It's just exhausting being cooped inside 5 days per week either looking at screens or small talking about trivial chit. I agree, I'm only happy on the weekends when I can limit screen time and enjoy nature and get away from it all. But by the weekend I'm already drained. You can't even say tradies have it better either considering their bodies will be broken down by age 40. Men didn't evolve to do what were doing man we're supposed to be out in nature building things or doing physical activities releasing endorphins etc

A lot of people are fine with just bringing a coffee into the office and sitting around chatting about trivial chit as long as they are getting paid. I don't wanna do that though. I need to be either be working non stop or gtfo of the office and go outside to do something for a while. I can't release endorphins just standing around doing nothing lol

Fuarrk man I feel that too. I’m perpetually exhausted even on days where I don’t even lift. I think the mental fatigue is draining my body. One of my best friends is in the Union and he’s already injured himself, so you’re not wrong at all. Not to mention they don’t get paid chit. I make more rotting at a cubicle than he does installing ductwork in commercial construction. It’s sad.
I say it all the time, men were not mean to be cooped up indoors staring at screens. Men were built to manipulate the physical environment around them, problem solve using both their bodies and minds, while spending a lot of time outdoors. I also feel the need to be creative, but I’m held back from being stuck in this office, constantly feeling anxiety, which is causing my body to release stress hormones and poisoning my mood. I can’t even think straight anymore. I just go home and rot.
It feels hopeless AF. There’s gotta be a way out…

Yep you nailed it with all of these points.
Doesn't matter what you do most jobs are going to be either toxic on the mind, soul or body. Like do all these people just get prescribed adhd/pain meds and drink monsters and a 6 pack when they get home to cope? How are people doing this soul sucking work for 20,30,40 and even 50 years? Are you sober? All i drink is caffeine and i can barely make it through the days man. I would feel a chit load better if i had a balance in life and could be out in nature more. These screens are destroying our health too. Headaches, eye problems, anxiety, depression etc.
Yeah man men are meant to be out either building things, working towards goals and doing physical stuff. Even being out in sunlight for a while or going on walks is better than this chit. Yet we barely get to do it.PC specs

I hear you. It's like this never-ending cycle of feeling drained and disconnected during the week, only to finally get a breather on the weekends, but even then, the exhaustion lingers. And you're right, it feels like we're trapped in this unnatural way of living, constantly glued to screens and stuck in small talk that never really satisfies. It's like our bodies and minds are craving something more, something real and fulfilling.

Yeah man its beautiful weather out this week too so I wanna go out and break the cycle but I don't know how. Everyone is just so worn down from this unnatural cycle like you said and they don't wanna do anything but rot. Have you noticed that all people wanna do now is be on their screens, smoke or buy stuff now? There has to be more to life than this. Im broke too so can't even buy anything in this economy.

Man another day of just sitting here. I try to get out a couple times per week to visit people but everyone just seems so down and depressed. I get it i am too but i still want to get out do things. Even if it's talking, having a cookout, exercising, blaring some music or working on a car project or something. Nobody wants to do anything though. I'm probably the biggest i've ever been as far as lifting goes but it doesn't help me with anything. I just don't know what else we are supposed to do.

Can't talk to anyone. I know i've tried over 1000 times at this point. Everyone is so on edge and just rude now. Or just acting weird.

All I do is just lay here 15 hours per day I can't do anything else. I can't talk to anyone because they are always on their screens either. I've tried like a thousand times and don't have energy to try anymore.

There's legitimately nothing to do. How are people communicating anymore? You can't even watch tv or talk about music or watch any movies or anything anymore because they all suck. Video games are boring too.

Me!!! x 1000
Anxiety and panic attacks has ****ed my quality of life for over 8 years.
I would get anxious around crowded places, it affected my work, my relationships, lost friends due to it, even quit the gym for a few years but I am now back at it.
Honestly, therapy and medication never worked for me. I tried over 10 antidepressants. I never tried ****** or ***** though because docs wouldn't prescribe it.
Working out and eating healthy and finding positive distractions and enjoyable hobbies has helped ease my anxiety attacks. I try to meditate at least 30 minutes a day. Get at least 8 hours of sleep daily.
And most importantly, quit or cut back on caffeine if you take it. i went from 2 energy drinks and a coffee a day to just 1 cup of decaffeinated coffee and it made a tremendous impact.
Good luck bro
