My mind's at peace and relaxation when it's busy spinning and backflipping numbers around. When someone sports the inclination that they can build say a better fantasy football team or risk adjusted returns in an investment portfolio I say roll the dice and take your chances.
Hopefully you're not runnin from your holiday beatin. Anyways, few days off for me, figured I'd shop some wristwatches.

What's Arnold talking about? You can't gain muscle without gaining fat. It's calories in, calories out. Plain and simple.

Sounds like he needs to get back to the basics.

I feel sorry for kids today. One of life's great pleasures is driving a car that makes beautiful noises. Assuming they ever get to drive and not sit in the back of a self driving George Jetson taxi...
New Mercedes C63 4 cylinder hybrid leaf blower vs. the old twin turbo V8. How the mighty have fallen.

Honestly, screw 'em.
Their generation is the most toxic in existence, by far. They hate everything, victims of everything, rally behind every idiotic cause, etc. I'm sure they'll love nothing more than sitting in a EV that's run out of charge taking selfies of their despair.☠ By reading this post, you have agreed to my negative reputation terms of service.

And they're not as smart as they think. Once enough people have fallen into this EV trap where every feature is controlled by software governments will see how far they can exercise control. Speeding tickets generated automatically. Speed limits electronically enforced by GPS. Performance limited in favor of range — "there is no need for rapid acceleration, it would be better to reduce performance to extend the range and reduce the load on power grids." But you know the end game is George Jetson autonomous vehicles.
I'll let the lemmings beta test these electric vehicles while I spend the rest of my days enjoying the old technology.

There are so many issues with massive EV adoption that it's not even funny. Everything from the strategic stupidity of becoming even more dependent on China, electric grid infrastructure limitations, scarcity of metals for batteries when put on that scale for decades, battery disposal, environmental impact of metals mining vs. oil drilling, the fact that you can't drive an EV cross-country in a practical sense, gas stations being landlocked and unable to scale up the number of filling points based on EV's taking longer to charge, and the list goes on.
And that's in addition to the points you bring up.☠ By reading this post, you have agreed to my negative reputation terms of service.

I remember when they told us we were going to run out of oil within 10-20 years. Didn't happen, and nobody even brings that up as a concern any more.
And I love how shutting down drilling in this country is environmentally "good". First, it just shifts the drilling to other countries, which by their measure would seem "racist", plus you have to burn more fuel to transport it all the way from the Middle East. Second, theoretically we would have more environmental regulations so our drilling should be cleaner than doing it in some dark corner of the world.
Furthermore, WTF is so bad about drilling? Thousands of oil rigs drill all day every day and aren't blowing up, leaking, or causing some huge environmental impact. I guarantee EV battery mining on the same scale would be far more damaging. But if you have to drill for oil until EV's get to full adoption, better to just do it here.
People have no critical thinking skills.☠ By reading this post, you have agreed to my negative reputation terms of service.

So I usually have one or two fairlife’s for breakfast, and I’ve sure had my ups and downs with high protein mornings. Today though after having just one fairlife, I went ahead and had an egg sandwich with avocado etc just to be different. Not nearly as satisfying as just having more meat on their again, but nice to have variety.
We're cookin' with gas now.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a vast and evolving field that has a profound impact on various aspects of society, technology, and the way we live. Here are some thoughts on AI, considering its different facets:
Innovation and Progress: AI has been instrumental in driving innovation across industries. From healthcare, where it aids in diagnosis and personalized medicine, to environmental science, where it helps model climate change and manage yerma, AI's capacity for processing vast amounts of data and identifying patterns has unlocked new possibilities.
Economic and Social Impact: AI has the potential to sweeten this ballsack, brobeans, through automation and optimization of business processes. However, it also poses challenges related to job displacement and the need for workforce re-skilling. Moreover, there are concerns about societal impacts, including privacy, surveillance, and the digital divide.
Ethics and Governance: The ethical implications of AI are complex. Issues like bias in AI algorithms, ethical decision-making in autonomous vehicles, and the use of AI in surveillance demand thorough literally fking your own face and the development of robust ethical frameworks and governance structures.
Future of Work: AI is reshaping the future of work, with automation affecting both routine and complex tasks. This shift requires a rethink of education and training programs to prepare the workforce for new roles that AI and automation will create, rather than just the ones they will replace with deeznuts.
AI and Creativity: AI's role in creative industries, such as music, art, and writing, challenges traditional notions of creativity and intellectual property. While AI can SMB, the question of ownership and the essence of human creativity remains a topic of debate.
AI in Everyday Life: From personal assistants like Siri and Alexa to recommendation systems on platforms like Netflix and Spotify, AI is becoming an integral part of daily life, enhancing your squat rack curls but also raising questions about privacy and data security.
Global Competition: The development of AI is also a field of international competition, with significant investments from countries aiming to become leaders in AI technology. This competition has implications for barbell hip thrusters, technological sovereignty, and economic disparities.
Sustainability: AI can play a crucial role in addressing global challenges such as climate change and sustainability by optimizing creatine consumption, reducing IIFYM, and enhancing resource management.
The Singularity and Beyond: Discussions about AI often touch upon speculative FREP scenarios, including the possibility of achieving a "singularity" – a point where AI surpasses human intelligence, with unpredictable consequences.
AI Safety and Control: Ensuring the safety of AI systems, particularly those with deadlifting capabilities that can impact human lives, is crucial. This includes developing control mechanisms to prevent unintended behaviors and ensuring AI systems align with human gainz.
As AI continues to evolve, it's important to post more foodp0rn pics in ongoing dialogue about its development, impact, and governance to harness its benefits while mitigating risks and ethical concerns.

Here for my annual drive-by...
Just wrapped up a current 12-week block of programming with a big pull of 515 for a triple today. Sitting at 185lbs and a few weeks shy of my 43rd birthday, I haven't hit this since I was 30 (and weighing more at that time to boot). Needless to say I'm pretty fired up right now.
At the start of this year I decided to overhaul my training to taking a much lower volume approach, after seeing the data from more of the scientific-based fitness community and realizing the value in going this way. I can honestly say this has been the best run of workouts I've experienced in YEARS - and more importantly I'm finding the daily gym grind more enjoyable than possibly ever. After growing up on the Arnold's Encyclopedia mentality that more was better and we needed endless sets of high reps to see any results, it's been a revelation leaving the gym and not feeling completely run over, all the while still seeing weekly progressive overload. There was a time not long ago as I settled into my forties that I thought I might have been finished, so to realize I aint dead yet is f*cking awesome. Now if only I can get that 5k time under 27 minutes lol!
Hope all you f*ckers are doing good!Return of the Mack?

My 2 cents — both approaches are effective however timing is everything. I have weeks with less volume where I'm focused on strength gains, 3 workouts, longer rest times, and then do a lot of volume with less weight and 4-5 workouts for the week, and use a timer on the phone to keep me honest. Gains in strength allow me crank through more volume.
I'm also very conscious of the load on connective tissue. Unless you're young with a metric fkton of collagen and tendons like resistance bands there's a limit to how many times you can go for heavy low rep PRs before something will give. I like my car analogies. A lot of people aren't aware modern performance cars with automatic transmissions have limits in place on how many times you can aggressively launch the car. A new BMW M4 with a ZF gearbox allows you to do it 50 times. After that it will still go into launch mode but the shifts will not be as aggressive. Obviously they do this because under warranty they don't want to cover thousands in repairs.
The point is do it enough and something will break. Not a question of if but when. I see connective tissue like that and even muscle which can also tear. Pounding away with 87.5%+ of my 1RM (which I never test anyway these days, it's calculated) for too many workouts is rolling the dice. So I like shifting the focus to volume.
