    wokrout recovery

    Hi,

I started my routine after a long time. But its been 5 days and I still haven't recovered especially from lower body workouts (hamstrings, hips). Its not looking good as I am unable to bend my knees and I am unable to do any lower body workouts since (such as squats).

Do you have an idea on how long it takes to recover after the first workout after a long time? Is there some way I can accelerate my recovery or reduce pains?

    thanks,

    Sam

i read online somewhere that cold then hot then cold shower helps. i tried it and it worked for me. it was because i did the frog jump too much, so i coudnt bend without being sore, i coudnt walk down stairs, i coudnt sprint. so i had no other choice than to try it and it worked wonder.

    give up

I give up on gym workouts. I think my body is not apt for these kinds of exercises. It will take me a week to recover and I am going to stick to my sports and runs .. no pains and more fun

Your have to wait for your body to get used to it... everyone gets sore for many days after their first real workout.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was so numb he fell off his bike riding home after his first time lifting.

If you dont have the perseverence, then your right, lifting isnt for you... But not because it took a week to recover after your first workout.
