Also, wasn't he some rich guy? Rich stock brokers don't go to hard prisons like in the movie, they get sent to minimum security prisons.

I was referring to the real life leader of the AB...I think dudes name is Tyler Bingham...but in the movie..yes, he was a rich stock broker but he went in a vehicle manslaughter jacket (I think) so don't all violent offenders get housed together? I'm sure some uber rich folks can buy their way into better prisons but from my understanding, if you kill someone (accident or not) you get to win a trip to gladiator University.

Wish bottles had a bigger role but the movie is close to reality and a guy like bottles wouldn't have a bigger role.

Correct manslaughter is almost always a state offense. Your not going into comfy club fed level one open prison. However it being a violent crime means that he would probably be at a higher security level but in classification when you first go in they take many things into account, did you have a job? Are you in a gang? Sex offender? First conviction? He most likely being a first timer, no gang affiliation, on a vehicular manslaughter conviction be level2

Yup..it's actually a great example of how being institutionalized works...you obviously can't survive being a lone wolf and if you gang up, be prepared to put in work and hope you don't get caught. Also, there are no friends there. Only people who look like you. Yeah...I'll stick to being a law abiding citizen thanks.
